My girlfriend and I decided to go away for the weekend, we've stayed in Whistler on numerous occasions and know the village very well at this stage. This Hotel is in a great location, as good as good as it gets. Even though it's in the very heart of the village, noise was not a problem, and I'm actually a light sleeper. Room was clean & comfortable. we paid the extra couple of bucks for a deluxe, which was well worth it. Staff were friendly also. The only thing i could say against it, is the parking, $22/night, pretty steep, but that's Whistler for you!!

Room Tip: Upgrade to deluxe, it's worth it!

Top quality all round with friendly, helpful, professional staff. The double room was perfect for 2 couples on a quick trip to check out the Whistler scene. It's right in the village centre, with easy access to everything. The rooms were spotless and looked newly renovated - comfortable beds, good linen, attention to detail you would expect from a more expensive hotel. This is a well-run property in a great location - we'll be back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back (off the main drag) if you don't want street noise from revellers lat...

Donna, thank you for taking the time to review the crystal lodge. I am pleased to hear that our team of service professionals stood out as a highlight of your trip. The 2 queen deluxe room type is one of our most popular rooms at the hotel and pleased that it worked well for the four of you. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back again in the near future for possibly a longer whistler retreat.
Sincerely,
Ian Lowe

After being treathed very rude at the hotel we made reservations with (see review "The Listel"), we walked over to this hotel to see if they had rooms available. The staff here is very friendly and gladly tells you about things to do in the area. We were offered a choice of rooms and got complementary parking. The rooms are a little dated, but offers everything you need. Our room even had a large balcony with sunbeds. You also get a Cristal discount card, which gets you discounts at a selection of local shops and Rico's Grill (which is a great place to eat).

Thank you for your recent review of the crystal lodge. I am sorry that you had a difficult experience at your first whistler hotel but would like you to know that this is definitely the exception rather than the rule throughout the resort. We are pleased however that our team met or exceeded your expectations and look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back on your next trip to whistler.
Warm regards,
Ian Lowe

We chose this hotel because it was located in the centre of the town. This is good for being able to go into town for shopping etc. but the drawback is that if you have a room overlooking the village centre it can be very noisy at night with late night revellers around. We didn't sleep the first night due to excessive noise. We complained next morning and asked to be moved. Joanna the Duty Manager on reception and I think the guy's name was Joshua as well who sorted it out and we were given a room on the other side of the hotel overlooking the road (the front of the hotel) we also had a balcony which is what we requested when we booked. This room was lovely and very quiet. Many thanks to Joanna and Joshua for sorting it out for us. The food there was expensive so we didn't dine there, instead we had breakfast at Elements - excellent and dinner at the Hilton next door which was much cheaper and very good. Parking was expensive as well $23 a day. We didn't know if there was a cheaper option so paid. We expected free parking if we were staying at the hotel as is the way in the UK. Rooms were clean but on the small side.

Room Tip: ask for a room at the front not overlooking the village pedestian centre

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide the hotel with your detailed review of your recent experience at the Crystal Lodge. Although we strive for 5 start reviews, I am pleased to read that our team were successful in turning around your stay after the first night. As for your comment about parking, Whistler now offers complimentary parking however it is outdoors and located several minutes walk from the hotel otherwise each hotel offers their own underground parking ranging from $20-$40/ night.

Sincerely,

Ian Lowe

Spend two nights here ,just perfect right in centre of village seconds from shops and restaurants .Good size bedrooms loads of towels tea/coffee making facilities in room .Hot tub and pool were outside not pleasant in rain .Just minutes from the gondola and chair lifts .We don't ski but this would be a big advantage for anyone getting back and to the lifts .Parking seemed expensive 20 dollars a day + tax but cars was park under hotel so again easy to get to

This was my third visit to Whistler but first to this property. Fantastic location, very close to the ski lifts but my room was above the stroll and lots of street noise at night which seemed to be all night. The ski valet which others have rated highly was not always around but when he was, fantastic service. I have since learnt you can request rooms away from the noisy side and would consider again staying at the property if this was definitely available. Being a solo traveller I didn't find the room size problematic. I didn't make use of other services available as spent my day on the mountains.

Room Tip: Request a room away from the noisy street :)

Thank you for taking the time to post your review of the Crystal Lodge following your winter vacation last season. You are correct that we have rooms that are located away from the stroll that have much less ambient noise than our village stroll rooms. Our Ski Valet serve our guests during the morning and afternoon peak hours. In the morning they are located at our secured ski storage room and in the afternoon they are located on the village stroll just steps from the bottom of both Whistler and Blackcomb mountain. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future.
Sincerely,
Ian Lowe
