“Destination #1 In Whistler”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

I always have such a great stay at Crystal Lodge. The rooms are spacious, the amenities are incredible and you couldn't ask for a better location. Right in the middle of the village. Everything is a stones throw away. The staff are very courteous. Top notch service every step of the way. Keep up the great work Crystal.

We chose this hotel because I checked Trip Advisor prior to booking. The location is great, right on the Whistler Village. Close to the Peak2Peak Gondola rides. The room was very nice, the staff was very friendly and everything with regards to our stay went smoothly.

Room Tip: Check your room-key envelope for Village discounts and coupons.

Had a great vacation with my 2 daughters - Scandinave Spa was a bonus. The location of the Crystal Lodge was fantastic - close to the shops and eating establishments as well as Valley Trail. Very friendly.

We stumbled into this hotel by accident, and we now understand why there were vacancies here on a holiday weekend. The room was tiny with NO sockets for recharging electronics and no place to put a suitcase, and when our bill came, they tacked on an extra $3 for nothing - not a huge amount, but it's the principle.

Room Tip: Good luck. The dated rooms are really inconvenient.

Thank you very for taking the time to post your review of the Crystal Lodge following your recent long weekend experience. It seems from reading your review that we were unable to match your needs to the most appropriate guest room and as a result you did not have a memorable experience. I can ensure you that we have rooms in the hotel that would exceed your expectations thus would ask that in the future you contact the hotel in advance so that our knowledgeable team would be able to match you to an appropriate room type. As for the additional $3 item, as we do not tack any additional costs onto our guests, the only thing this could have been is the additional 2% MRDT tax that is applied to all hotel accommodation in Whistler.

Kind regards,
Ian Lowe

This hotel was right in the centre of the village, and really close to the lifts.

We were a little early on arrival but this was no problem and we were able to check in. Front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel was clean and welcoming. We were upgraded to a king suite which was a nice surprise room was large and comfortable. We went in the summer but it would be a great size for skiing plenty of drawers and cupboards. Useful kitchen area and large fridge.

There was a $22 charge for parking which seemed a lot as it's not the cheapest of hotels. We made the most of the free parking in resort and walked back to the hotel after dropping our bags, it was only a short walk.

Only small complaint was that we were woken at 8am by house keeping, after knocking and calling house keeping at the adjacent room they then began hoovering, this was quite early and loud at an otherwise very quite hotel.

Overall lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff and great location.

Good value for cost. Rooms were large and clean as we were staying with a large group. Liked staying right in the village; easy to walk to shops/hill/restaurants.
Friendly staff able to recommend great pubs and fun things to do.
