“Wouldn't stay at this location again”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2014 via mobile

We arrived 40 minutes prior to check in which is at 4:00. We were told they were short on house keepers that day and told us to come back after 4, the later the better to give them time to clean the rooms. We had 2 loft suites booked. We had zip lining tickets for 5:00 and we needed to change and get ready so we held out until 4:20 and then asked for our room keys. We had trouble finding our room as it started with a 3 but was actually on the second floor. Once arriving in our room our bathroom door was locked and the house keeper used a steak knife from our drawer to try to unlock it but it didn't work and maintenance had to be called. We rushed to get to zip lining and had dinner and made it back to the room at 10:00. The bathroom wasn't clean, there were 10 long black hairs on the floor, the garbage hadn't been emptied and there was no soap. We had to put the kids to bed so there wasn't any time to complain about these issues and have them resolved at that time of night. The ceiling fan wasn't working so the loft was extremely hot, the balcony had beer cans and other cans laying on the ground with lots of cigarette ashes. The room definitely wasn't clean, it was an old outdated room which is acceptable.....a bit of mold in the shower and such but it could've been nicer if it were properly taken care of and cleaned. When we arrived there was a sign in the elevator stating the pool was going to be closed the day we arrived for maintenance but the following day we were going to take the kids for a swim and it was still closed. At check out there was a man complaining about the cleanliness of his room and he got free parking. Both of the rooms we booked had issues such as I explained.....both fans in both rooms didn't work and both were dirty. After hearing the man speak it sounded like all rooms are in the same condition. If you don't mind sleeping in the previous persons garbage and mess then it shouldn't bother you but I myself wouldn't stay there again.

My husband and I just stayed three nights, in a room with a small kitchenette which was perfect for the two of us. The location is ideal, walking distance to everything, including Blackcomb village and many walking trails.
We parked our car in parking lot # 4,where you are allowed to park overnight free of charge. It is about a ten minute walk from the Inn, a savings of $25 per night.
Our room was clean, and because we were on the back side quiet until early morning deliveries. The price was reasonable, we were able to get our 3rd night free after staying 2 nights, on a special promotion.

Room Tip: Rooms on the backside, as they over look a "drop off" only zone.

Stayed here for a one night getaway with my wife. We stayed at the deluxe queen room. I found this hotel of great value. For a little over $100/night it was definitely good. The room was decent and even had a balcony. It was pretty clean but is showing its age. Again, for the price and location, expected.... Only real complaints would be that the bathroom was very small and couldn't even open the door fully due to the toilet blocking and had to sneak past a little gap to get past to close the door then into the shower. The A/C was VERY loud. Parking was $25 but very convenient. Other than those, the hotel was in a great location and great for the price. We ate downstairs at Il Caminetto di Umberto which I made a review on that as well.

We stayed in a loft room. The room was not properly cleaned (half empty bottles in the fridge). In the bathroom i (as a man) saw that the tissue box cover was full of dust (i dont want to imagine how it looks above the cabinets....). The balcony door could only be opened with a lot of power. We wanted to use the safe in the room. As there was no manual on how to use it i went down to the front desk. A men, responsible for the maintenance come to the room and told me than that this safe is out of order.
The hairdryer was not working either.
My impression of this hotel is that it is in a bad shape and not well maintained. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The manager Joe was very helpful with identifying which type of room we needed. The check in staff was efficient when we were checking in. Amenities wise it does have what you would need for basic cooking. A couple of things weren't functioning properly. Oven did not heat up to 350 the whole 20mins we left the salmon in there. The kettle has rust inside we never used it. The most discouraging incident happened on Aug 3rd with night attendent. We had called to ask for coffee to be replaced as they were not, he reluctantly asked if we needed them that night. When we replied yea he said fine will be there. Once arrived at our door, he almost scolded us for having do not disturb sign on door as per instructions by check in attended for roomswith pets. While the other attendants at property checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, this particular individual told us we may not have 2 packages of coffees as he would then have to walk over again. His attitude was most troubling of the incident. Overall impression and experience was positive other than the malfunctioning appliances and that one night attendant. My advice would be to make sure a/c vents are point straight up towards the loft bedroom orelse the upstairs can feel like a oven.

We stayed at the property for 2 nights, in a loft suite. The room was clean and close to everything. The only negative I could say about the property, is that there were stains on the ceiling from a water leak at one time and that a renovation (fresh paint) is probably due.

Great money for value, plenty of room and ideal location, easy access to all attractions and the staff where very helpful with local knowledge, best attractions. Parking was easy and late checkout perfect. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to everyone looking for a good family hotel with plenty of room and great location for active families.
