“Nice place too stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 December 2013 via mobile

Just steps from the village. It's a reasonably priced hotel with everything you need. I've stayed a few times and the service is great. The rooms are very clean. The rooms all seem to have a kitchen and fireplace which helps if you're on a food budget.
A few quirks are the rooms are tight due to a Jacuzzi tub being beside the bed. All of the rooms I've had have these which are a waste on me. The rooms are warm even without any heat on but it's not an issue if you crack the patio door. The parkade is tight especially if the hotel is busy but I've always been able to manage. Front desk staff have always been great.

Like "Cruising-along" I found this the hardest hotel to rate so far - and I totally agree with their review although I believe our balcony may have been bigger. The hotel has some great features, but some irritating issues. Overall our experience was good and I would go back. The good: the hotel was located in a central, yet quiet location. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchenette was well supplied. The room had recently been updated and the bathroom was very nice (a shelf in the shower would have been nice). We made all our meals in the room over a four day period. The jacuzzi tub right in the room.. The bad: If you need an internet connection don't stay here. My menu and recipes for the four days were on my ipad and I couldn't access them, frustrating! The kitchen fan didn't work. The outdoor pool and hottub are only accessible from outside the hotel. The underground parking was very tight good thing we were in a tiny car. We had left our lights on in the car and killed the battery We were not offered any support in the way of where we could get help and got the feeling of not our problem, sorry to hear that happened. There was no internet connection to look up a towing company, and no one to be found to ask for a jump start. Once again, frustrating. With all that said, the jacuzzi tub in the room made up for it.

Dear Letekoe,

I'm so sorry to read of the issues you had with your room and especially the dead battery you experienced. I will follow up with my staff to make sure that they have the correct information readily on hand to assist with this type of situation in the future. Typically we catch this sort of thing during our patrol so for this not being caught, i also apologize.

Please feel free to contact me directly at the hotel should you plan to return or for any other reason.

My husband and I stayed here for 9 nights recently it was the second time we have stayed there in the last few years. We really like the position of this hotel it's in a quiet location but within walking distance of the centre of whistler. We had a room on the fourth floor which had recently had a very nice bathroom upgrade with a hot tub in the room too. The kitchen area is adequate with a full size fridge and dishwasher. The reception staff were always friendly and ready to help, Patrick and his team did an excellent job in making our stay an enjoyable one I'm sure we will be back again.

For 10 days that pretty hotel has been our home.
It's a quiet, clean and safe place.
Some levels are already renovated and complete hotel is in a very good shape.
equipped very well and kitchen is working perfectly.
When we will return to Whistler we will book our accommodation there.

I had a hard time rating this hotel, because even though some of the amenities, comfort and location are worth a 4, there were a few quirks that brought down the experience.

We had a deluxe studio on the 4th floor for 3 nights.

First the wonderful: Friendly and helpful staff; very clean; fantastic location only steps away from the village shopping and dining; full kitchen and very much appreciated Jacuzzi in the room. We didn't use the fireplace, as the room seemed to run too warm even without it. The kitchen was used every day. We had breakfast and lunch in our room and had dinners out. The supplied robes were soft and warm and the shower head was great.

The quirks: As mentioned above, the room ran warm even with the fan on high. We ended up opening our balcony door the 2nd and 3rd nights to get some relief.

The kitchen, although well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, had no paper towels, only dish cloths. Maybe that's more of a quirk of mine, but every hotel we've had before with a kitchen had paper towels for spills etc. I could have used some several times during our stay.

The bathroom had the most problems. When we checked in there was less than 1/2 a roll of toilet paper, so we had to ask for some at the front desk. The shower had only a half-door, and nowhere at all to put shampoo, soap, etc. while showering, unless we set them on the toilet (!!) Of course the half-door made it easy to reach out, but again, we've never stayed in a hotel that didn't have ledges to set things in the shower. Also more towel racks would have been appreciated. There was one bar that was set so close to the sink it was hard to get a towel over it, and there were the hooks on the wall that the robes hung from, and a hook on the back of the door.

The room is advertised as having a balcony, but we found that it's really a "viewing balcony" that you can stand on and that's all. It was about the depth of the length of my feet, more of a ledge (with a rail) than anything.

The hotel has free wifi, but it rarely worked for us. A few minutes in the early morning and late at night, and that was all. Very frustrating. The TV also didn't work. We didn't try to use it until the last night, or we would have reported it not working.

The parking garage is tight. Very tight. Some of the posts have metal sticking out, down low and hard to see. We found out the hard way, when we scraped our truck on one of them one morning. Needless to say that was very upsetting.

I'm not sure if we would stay there again, because the good was very good, but the problems were too many.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights (week days), and found a great place to stay. Close to the village and main attractions, comfortable rooms, nice (and well equiped) kitchen, great view. I have not stayed in any other Whistler hotel so I can't say if the cost is worthy compared to others, but I was very happy with the room we got.
Full kitchen was very helpful to prepare quick meals and avoid going out for dinner. It is totally equiped: complete kitchenware, oven, microwave oven, coffee maker, fridge and wash disher.

Room Tip: Choose a jacuzzi room, they are bigger than standard rooms and the additional cost isn't too muc...

This was our first trip to Whistler and we enjoyed it so much. We had gotten our stay at the Pinnacle as a gift and initially was for the Wine & Dine package. As we looked into various activities in Whistler, we decided that we really wanted to visit the Scandinave Spa. I saw on the website that there was a Spa package which included the entrance fee for the Scandinave Spa and called in to see if it was possible to switch our option from the restaurant to the spa. The front desk staff made it a non-issue and did it for us so joyfully. This really started our experience with The Pinnacle really well, even before we got there. The room was fantastic - I loved the fact that we had a private Jacuzzi, in-suite kitchen and a balcony. It was clean, well kept and the staff were great! The location was fantastic as we wanted to walk to as many things as possible.

My husband are planning on coming back in December and we will definitely be staying here again!

Room Tip: Any of the rooms with a Jacuzzi are a plus!
