“Cedar Springs Bed and Breakfast Lodge”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 February 2013

Staid here two nights while skiing at Whistler Blackcomb.

They were well set up for this, from the shuttle bus (the lodge is located in a quiet neighborhood a few minutes from Whistler Village), to the heated closet for gear and the obligatory hot tub.

Our room (#7) was neat, though it felt a bit like a hotel room. The common living room was cozier, and had fresh cookies, too. Breakfast was excellent.

One of the more expensive B&Bs we have staid at, but this is Whistler in high season...

Room Tip: Alpine Cafe is a great dinner option that's within walking distance.

I can't recommend this place enough. I was snowboarding and stayed here for 10 nights and felt right at home. It's located a short (5-10 min) drive out of Whistler Village but this isn't a problem if you are skiing/snowboarding as Jackie will drop you off at the mountain (and pick you up at the end of the day). There are also frequent buses. Amazing and varied breakfasts and a great hot tub to jump in at the end of the day. If you fancy a swim, the local pool/sports center is only a 5 minute walk away. In short, stay here. You won't regret it!

Love this place! Jackie & Joern are so accommodating, cooking up amazing gourmet breakfasts and running us into the village on the days we went riding! The B&B is cozy, and my brother, sister and I shared a 3 double bed room with ensuite on the ground floor which was great value for money. Located behind the Sports Centre is a bonus, where you can go to the gym, watch some hockey or catch a quick 10m bus into the village. Would definitely stay here again... did I mention the amazing breakfast too??

This was the second time that we had stayed here. The B&B is very pleasant, the rooms are clean with comfy beds. The breakfasts are filling and each day the breakfast was different. The B&B is only a short drive from Whistler and it was easy to park in the free car park when we were there. We were able to visit some of the sights that we had not seen the first time we were in Whistler as the weather was much kinder to us.
Overall a pleasant stay, we would certainly recommend this B&B.

Very clean and spacious rooms, excellent washrooms, hot tub, cozy lounge area, very friendly yet professional staff, unbelievably amazing breakfast, and an unbeatable location!
Being that I had lived in Whistler at one point in life, it takes a fair bit to impress me with local hospitality. I thought I would give this B&B a try one weekend that I couldn't get a hotel room in town.... After my stay, I'd have to say I will no longer be looking for Hotels in Whistler, not when this B&B is a far better value and a more genuine experience.
The location is perfect as well- you get a taste of some of Whistler's local sweet spots! The park across the street was always one of my favourite places when I was a local.
And be prepared for an out of this world breakfast- all homemade with lots of heart!
And lastly, I'd have to say the Owners are very genuine and sincere hosts.
I would definitely recommend this place to everyone!!! And I am very fussy on recommendations!

Jackie and her family make you most welcome in their home in the quiet outskirts of Whistler. Our room was most comfortable, although not large, with an excellent en suite.
Breakfasts were varied and delicious. It was good to eat and talk with other guests over breakfast.
There is a seating area in the garden and a hot tub that we made good use of after walking on Blackcomb Mountain and mountain biking.
We walked into Whistler which took about 1 hour. There is also a very good and cheap bus service that stops near house and goes into the centre of Whistler. We used this to travel into Whistler for our evening meals.

We visited Whistler as part of a 1 month car tour of BC. We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Springs, but we had better value at some other stops.
The positives are :-
Very relaxed friendy atmosphere.
Helpful host.
Good room with comfortable beds
Quiet location
Good parking
Drinks and fridge available when required in lounge with large TV
The negatives are :-
It's a few minutes drive into Whistler centre
Dubious shower plumbing
A strange arrangement that full payment will be taken before you arrive, but then when we booked out they said it had not been taken. There were no a problems, but why say you do this ?
No other B&Bs did so.
It's not quite as plush as the photos suggest. Probablly tailored for winter activities.

Dear Geoff 3881;
Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay with us. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Whistler. Many of our guests appreciate being in a quiet residential neighborhood, across the street from a large park and trail network. The short 5 minute drive to the village ensures quiet nights.
We do normally take a first night deposit at the time of booking (or full payment within 14 days of arrival).
Our payment/cancellation policies are consistent with other Whistler properties; This is perhaps different for a B&B to do so, but as a destination resort, Whistler is somewhat unique in this regard.
As we had not been advised of any shower plumbing issues during your stay, we would appreciate it if you could please let us know which room you stayed in so we can check on your concerns. You can email us directly and we will correct any issues immediately.

Kind Regards
Jackie
Owner/Operator.
