“Great base, great place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014

A great location right at the base of the Blackcomb slopes, and good value for such a central resort hotel. Not quite your usual Hilton, clearly geared towards the ski crowd, which can only be discribed as a good thing.
The atmospheres and service are excellent. We were there during transition from Summer to Winter season, and although occupancy was low, staff were still enthusiastic & helpful.
The hotel has a great bar, which I'm sure would make for the perfect place to recover from a hard day on the piste!
As there were so few guests when we stayed, we received waiter service at breakfast instead of the normal buffet. Even so, the choice available was more that enough, the quality great, and portions certainly did not leave you hungry!
The hotel also has a decent fitness room, sauna etc, but the outdoor pool is a bit of a gem. Great place to unwind.
As for the rooms, we had a junior suite, which was huge. It had full functioning kitchen area which came in handy at lunch times, also meant we had a good level of storage to keep our beer nice & chilled. The suite was a great size overall, the view out to the peaks amazing, and the open log fire very romantic in the evening! The only slight negative would be to say the rooms look ready for a lick of paint, they are looking a little dated, but this did not effect our overall experience at all.

A great base for you to stay, in a stunning part of the world. Highly recommended!!!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool are best, as you'll also get a view of the slopes.

Good hotel in the middle of all activity, easy to get around, I am glad I ask the travel agent to change it to this hotel, it was reasonable price consider it is peak season in summer, we even saw a black bear around the village at dinner time

Spent one night on a girl's birthday trip to Whistler.

I have stayed here before and found the rooms to be large and comfortable and the site is centrally located.

The hotel was very accomodating allowing us to check in early and settle in before heading out to our activities. Upon returning to the room there was a box of chocolates on the desk from the management wishing me a happy birthday which was a really nice touch.

The hotel offers free wifi while many in the area do not. Personally I think this is a must in this day and age!

Would happily recommend this hotel to anyone!

Right in the centre of Whistler Village. Valet the car and walk everywhere. We stayed in an exceptional, suite with king bed, log fireplace, lounge area, fully equipped kitchen and impressive bathroom. Overall, nothing to fault. Look forward to staying here again

My husband and I spent 2 nights here in the summer and really enjoyed it. The hotel is perfectly situated - close enough to the centre of Whistler village so you can reach everywhere by a quick walk..yet far enough away that we weren't in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Our room was really quiet at night. We had a king size bed which was super comfortable and the suite was roomy. Nice having the little kitchenette too. We didn't use it by the pool looked fabulous. Staff were really friendly and they had a nice valet service for our bikes so they didn't clutter our room. Some of the decor in the hallways and lobby looks a little dated but overall the hotel was nice and very clean. Staff very, very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: I imagine rooms facing the pool might be quiet noisy during the day and up to 10pm when it closes...

We spent a week at the Whistler Hilton to celebrate our anniversary. It was awesome. The staff, everyone we spoke with, were kind, helpful and the service was great. Our room was clean, quiet and housekeeping was through and invisible. They managed to get in and out of our room everyday without ever inconveniencing us. Highly recommend this Hilton. You won't be disappointed with the location, the staff or the service.

We originally booked for 2 nights, but changed to 3. We were really glad we did. We had a room with a fireplace and a Jacuzzi. Used the Jacuzzi several times but not the fireplace (summer!).

The rooms were very nice and well appointed. We had a king bed that was extremely comfy. We had a small balcony on our room, which we did sit on a few times to look out at the mountains. It was only about as wide as a chair though, but was fine for looking out at the scenery.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We have to do a shout out to the young lady at the concierge desk who was extremely helpful to us, and provided some great suggestions for dining and activities.

The hotel is essentially right beside the lifts. You walk out of the hotel into the village which is loaded with restaurants and shops. We drove a car to Whistler, but never touched it until we left. Parking is a bit pricey at $30/night, but wifi was free.

We didn't eat at the hotel, but tried a different restaurant in the whistler village for every meal while we were there. The food was really good.

We would go back in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Suggest you get a room on a higher floor to get some decent views that aren't blocked by other b...
