Bus runs every 15 minutes until 3AM ($2.50 each way) so getting to Whistler Village is not a problem for this remote location. No services nearby other than a small convenience store so shop elsewhere if you are planning on making meals at the hostel. Friendly staff, clean rooms, 1st floor wireless much more consistent than upper floors. Plenty of outdoor seating on first & second floors for taking in gorgeous surroundings. Stayed 3 nights, would return.

Stayed here for two nights in August, and hardly slept at all due to the heat. They have no AC on the upper floors and were out of fans :(

Facilities are top notch and the staff are pleasant and friendly. Beds are comfy. It is a little way down the mountain but not a problem as the bus stop is right in front and buses run every 20 mins and late night service too.

I would have rated higher but since I was so hot and uncomfortable it really wasn't a great experience.

Hi Kelly, thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us. Our top floor rooms do get hot these days, we are getting more fans to help with the issue. Glad you thought everything else was nice at the hostel,

Hope to have you stay again soon,
Marc

i was really suprised by this hostel. the common area, especially the billard and entertainment rooms are the best common areas I have seen in any hostel on the world so far. rooms are pretty standard, bathrooms are spacious and look brand new. if you are skiing the location is a bit poor. there are busses running which is ok, but if you wanna go for drinks/party in Whistler it's kind of a pain to get back to the HI hostel. location is really the only downside. all the rest was brilliant.

I only stayed for 1 night to check out the place then leave to climb the Chief the next day. It looked super hip, it was really clean, and the front desk staff was helpful. I wish it was closer to Whistler Village and that there were more places around it to go to at night other than the village, but I can't complain because it was close enough for such a good price!

it certainly is a totally different hostel from all I have stayed at before! it is such a great idea for a good value accomodation in whistler and as far as I know it is the only hostel in the area. the cheapest pleace in the village is twice as expensive and you won't find kitchen facilities unless you stay in a pricy apartment. it is a bit far out but you can't have everything! kitchen is well equipped and big, dining and common areas are huge and there is enough space for everybody. bathroom is shared between 2 rooms only, beds VERY comfortable and you can adjust room temerature to your needs- how cool is that?? every area is sparkling clean. I will definately come back if I go to whistler again!

Room Tip: you can check bus times at the reception. they run a few times an hour, make sure you have exact amount. when we were there is cost 2.5 CAD. there is a small cafe on site serving delicious sandwiches and home made cakes! highly recommended! there is no shop within walking distance- buy your food in the village if you are planning to cook!
