It's right next to the baby slope on the Blackcomb side and a short walk to the village down the slope. Units are spacious and clean and hot tub and pool are not too crowded. If you want something closer to the village, Aspens will save you approx. 100m of walk up/down the slope.

Excellent, quiet location. 3 bedroom suite excellent for large group or family. Functional, but dated interior. Close to the base of blackcomb. We used it in the summer, but it would be a great ski in and out location for winter. Walk to the whistler village was only 10 minutes, but is a consideration for some. Close to Lost Lake park and trails.

Room Tip: Corner, 6th floor 3 BR suite was excellent.

Our family of four enjoyed some fun spring skiing here in early April 2012. The Woodrun has a great location for skiing and the condo (#319) was quiet and spacious, if a bit dated (I'm sure this varies from condo to condo but ours was a time-share condo as opposed to a condo being kept up by an individual owner). However, it was clean and overall quite workable, and our kids appreciated that the second bedroom had twin beds instead of a queen size. The pool and hot tub were both large and both were kept nice and warm; the water was clear, though they could have each used more regular skimming because there was quite a lot of debris from nearby trees (and hair--yuck!) sitting on the bottom. We used the pool and hot tub daily and never found it overrun, and about mid-week the pool did seem to have less debris, so maybe that's when the pool service came by to clean things up. The number 5 bus was a pretty easy way to and from the Village (or you could easily put on your snow boots and tromp down the hill to Upper/Blackcomb Village). All in all, a great location for a ski vacation, though I am not sure I would pay high-season prices to stay in this unit without doing some research on other possibilities (either more updated condos in the building or other locations altogether).

Our family of 4 from Australia have just returned from a fantastic 11 night stay at this amazing "ski in ski out" condo. We had the pleasure of dealing directly with the owners, who made the entire experience easy. The condo is located on the fourth floor and is tastefully decorated, The kitchen comes fully stocked with everything that you need and the condo has a boot/glove dryer.

The owners use Shirley from "PEAK TO CREEK CONCIERGE SERVICES" to assist with onsite help and this is a great service as Shirley helped us organize discounted lift tickets including equipment hire, transfers and a family snow mobile tour.

Thank you for a fantastic vacation.

Room Tip: Great family accommodation, easy access to ski runs as true "ski in ski out"

We stayed at The Woodrun for two weeks from 26 February 2012. The 2 bedroom condo was spacious, clean and well appointed. The staff on the front desk were always friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic: ski-in/ski-out, short walk to the village, free bus to/from village. The facilities were great and we particularly enjoyed the hot-tub in the evenings! My family will definitely be back next year!

Really good sized apartment for us and the 2 kids - the bunkbeds would not suit adults but our kids were very happy. Plenty of equipment and was pleased the stove was clean and ready for some great BC food.
We were pleasantly surprised by the groundfloor unit view of the trees. Our kids thought it was like being in the forest with the fire lit and the lights - low !
Woodrun cannot be beaten for access to the slopes - we were able to ski morning and afternoon but still check on the kids in ski school and have lunch in the apartment - super convenient.
Hot tub often a bit crowded (pool cooler and quite big) but that's 'cos it's so good and we met several friendly families. The teenage crowd seem to prefer Aspens.
Will certainly return to Woodrun.

Room Tip: Quiet being on the slope side - very cozy.

Our unit worked great for 4 adults. We were able to cook each night or walk to the village. The pool and hot tub were very clean and the over property was kept up well.

Room Tip: Chose a room that faces the forest
