“Great place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 December 2013

My wife and I had an excellent stay in this B & B in April this year. We were fortunate because we had the place all to ourselves - a peaceful place with great views and (at that time) heavy snowfall around adding to the atmosphere. We've stayed in many B & Bs over the years and the breakfast in this one was one of the best - a unique and delicious cheese soufflé and other goodies. The host was friendly and knowledgeable. The main village is a short drive away. Highly recommended.

Having lived in the Vancouver area all of our lives my husband and I have visited Whistler on a regular basis since we were teenagers. Over the years we have stayed at many of its hotels and B & Bs as well as renting various condo units. However, we struck gold this year when we discovered the Inn at Clifftop Lane. Hoping to stay at the Chateau Whister ( which had become our favourite Whistler accommodation) for a last minute weekend trip we were disappointed to find that the Chateau was fully booked. In fact, being a very busy weekend in Whistler we had trouble finding anywhere to stay. There was literally "no room at the inn" until we discovered the Inn at Clifftop Lane. There had been a last minute cancellation so a room was available for us. What a fantastic surprise. The owners, Alan and Sulee Sailor, have made a delightful 5 bedroom purpose built B & B in a quiet neighbourhood a couple of minutes south of Whistler Creekside Village and the Creekside gondola. The bedrooms are nicely appointed and are decorated with Thai art in homage to Sulee's native country. Alan is a charming host and immediately makes his guests feel comfortable. The family room is very warm and is a great place to read a book and have a late afternoon drink. Sulee is a wonderful cook. The breakfasts are delicious and the cheese soufflé alone makes the trip worthwhile. We have already paid a second visit to the Inn at Clifftop Lane and are looking forward to return visits this season. Although we love the Chateau Whistler, the nice bedrooms, fantastic hosts and the complimentary breakfast and parking make the Inn at Clifftop Lane our first choice for lodging at Whistler.

Four of us stayed at the Inn at Clifftop Lane in September during our road trip around British Columbia. Alan was a very informative and attentive host and Sulee`s cooking was second to none. Be aware that if you like meager breakfasts of toast and cereals you will be missing out on some seriously good food all freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Our rooms were pleasant and comfortable with nice views to the out side. This B&B is in a very quiet area some 20 minutes out of Whistler. We didn`t use the hot tub due to the incessant rain.
All in all highly recommended.

My husband & I greatly enjoyed our stay for 2 nights during a recent trip to BC. Our room was cozy with a very comfortable king size bed. There was a pleasant wooded view and a small balcony. The common areas are spacious and there are lots of interesting books to read. We enjoyed a soak in the outdoor hot tub. Alan was very knowledgeable about local hiking trails and directed us to 2 fantastic hikes. He also recommended some good restaurants and we had a couple of great dinners at an Indian restaurant in the village. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious. Alan & Sulee were great hosts and we would love to come back one of these days.

We stayed here two nights in October. We chose it because of the tripadvisor reviews. It rained for most of our stay, which limited the things we could do, but Alan, our host, remained upbeat and gave us some great recommendations for places to hike with an umbrella! Breakfasts were fabulous, with a terrific cheese soufflé a stand out memory of our trip. The house was lovely, but our room could have done with a dust in places.

We had the pleasure of spending couple of days during our Canada vacation in this wonderful place. Alan and his wife took very good care of us and were the most wonderful hosts. We were served delicious breakfast everyday which was honestly the best breakfast we have had in a B&B. Alan gave us lots of good information about where to hike and what to do. We felt like home here and would love to go back to this place.

My husband and I stayed here the first week in September and had a very enjoyable experience. The hosts Alan and Sulee were very gracious and the breakfast was outstanding. We are still talking about the blueberry muffins and beautiful presentation of the cheese souffle. My husband asked if they were chefs but they just enjoy cooking and entertaining! Our room was super quiet as we even opened the window and heard...nothing. Very quiet neighborhood and a walking trail is close by. Whistler Village is a very short drive.
