Stayed here in January and it was a great stay. Loved the location, loved skiing everyday... was the best holiday! The hotel has a hot tub outside and a small store downstairs which was handy. The option to watch a film in the cinema was cool and just easy to chill out on some nights. Will most defiantly be going back! I miss it already, Canada I will see you soon.

My wife and self were taken in by the smooth talking, professionally trained salesman. They paint a perfect picture of the resort and Whistler, and how easy it is to spend 2 weeks a year skiing there when you like. That was what sold it for us. We only want to go in the snow season.
Come the next year, with my 125 points I could get 3 nights there and that was it for the snow season. Not the 2 weeks like advertised. That was the same story again for the next year we enquired.
This year we have tried to get 5 nights there, but were told a 6 night minimum was required. Well, once again, there were no vacancies for 6 nights in the same room. There was a 5 night vacancy. Perfect. But not allowed as we emailed customer service. This booking was attempted 10 months in advance, as we are travelling from Australia. We know if we leave it to 6 months in advance we will have no chance of getting in there. So basically, I have paid alot of money, plus the annual fee, for something I can't use.
There are several sites online with many similar complaints as mine. I just wished I checked them out before signing the dotted line. I hope others get the chance to do this before the high pressured salesman get another victim.

This is a great hotel for families. Nice decor - comfortable but not fussy (desirable if travelling with kids or skiers!). Lovely pool area (separate area for adults only - which is nice if you are not there with kids). Large lounge area, games room, library and movie room. Staff are very friendly. It is a bit of a walk into the village - which is a bit of a drag in the winter (with skiis etc) but a lovely stroll in the summer. Very close to Lost Lake park (great walking trails in the summer and cross country trails in the winter).

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen. With kids this is the best thing when visiting Whistler. The family pool area is hard to beat to complete a day on the hills. There are designated barbecue areas for use by the guests.
Several grocery options within walking distance. Restaurants in Whistler are expensive and not typically kid friendly. This provides a great family travel option.

My family (husband and two grade school-aged children) and I stayed at the Club Intrawest Whistler for eight nights in mid-April (including Easter). Overall, we loved the property itself but wish that it had a better location (more on that to follow). We drove from Seattle after flying in from Chicago so we had a rental car and found the parking garage to be convenient and FREE! Check-in was very quick and easy and there were plenty of luggage carts in the parking garage.

We had a two bedroom unit overlooking the family pool. The unit is very large and had a great layout for us. My kids loved having their own bedroom (two twin beds) with attached bathroom (large tub in there too) on the opposite side of the condo from the master bedroom. The kitchen is well appointed and we did eat a lot of meals in the unit (breakfast for convenience and some dinners because we were too tired to go out after a day of skiing/snowboarding or too full after apres). The washer and dryer are a good size and I really liked them (it's great to go home with a suitcase of clean clothing)! There is PLENTY of storage throughout the unit - an impressive amount really.

We never encountered any staff so I can't comment on them. We did use the pool and hot tub every day and in all of my travels, I've never seen a pool and hot tub get so much use morning, day and night (seriously, not even on beach vacations). Our room faced the pool and it was loud up until closing at 10pm. If you want a quiet room, definitely don't face the pool!! Who knew people liked playing "Marco Polo" so much?! Anyway, it is hard to get too annoyed when people are just having fun and it is only 8pm but we kind of did because we were tired after getting up early and skiing all day.

My kids LOVED the free game room and so did I! I'm usually doling out quarters to them while they play games for a bit on vacations and it was so nice for them to be able to play for free for as long as they liked. We didn't see any movies in the theater, but overheard people saying that it was nice.

As to location, the Club is located in the Upper Village and right next to the Fairmont Hotel. It is a nice and quiet area but too quiet for us. Aside from Merlin's, the stores and restaurants appeared to be closed until you walked in and discovered you were the only one in there. Since it was the end of the season, the Blackcomb base was dead as a doornail. The two chairlifts servicing Blackcomb Mountain were closed for maintenance as well. ARGH!! So, we had to hoof it to the Whistler base to catch the Blackcomb gondola which was extremely inconvenient. Sure, it's only a 15 minute walk but it's just not pleasant to do that walk in ski boots carrying not only my gear but that of my kids as well. There is a shuttle bus and we did take that to return to the Club in the afternoons. For us, it didn't start running in the morning until 10am which is just too late, so we made the trek to Whistler Village daily. Don't even get me started on the staircase by the Pan Pacific headed down to the village from the shuttle stop!! I'm fit and work out everyday, but trudging up and down those stairs in ski boots with tons of gear every day on vacation just gets super old. It would be nice if the Intrawest had a ski valet in Whistler Village and a shuttle of their own. As my husband and I discussed, these types of inconveniences are one of the trade-offs of staying in a timeshare versus a hotel. And yes, we did have a rental car but the problem is that there is no where to park it close to Whistler Village and we would have had to haul our ski stuff from the ski lockers to the parking garage. Is this a minor or major complaint? It depends on your tolenance for inconvenience. My tolerance started out high at the beginning of the week and hit an all-time low after the seventh day. :) If you are two adults carrying your own things, you'll be fine. If you are two adults with two kids carrying your own things, your kids' things and listening to complaints, maybe not.

The Club is very conveniently located for a trip to the Cultural Center (just across the street) and I would definitely recommend a visit there. My whole family found it to be very informative and educational.

All in all, we had a fabulous vacation!!

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, don't get a room facing the family pool.

We have been members of 20 year old Club Intrawest Whistler since 1996, and we are always so very happy to return "home". It is particularly nice to be greeted with a friendly "Welcome Back" upon check-in. Thanks for that.
Throughout our week at Club Intrawest, Jock, Michael and Courtney, in particular, provided us with excellent service. They are to be commended! We also very much appreciated our clean our unit was upon arrival, and how efficiently and thoroughly it was cleaned mid-week.
Our recent visit exceeded even our already high expectations. We were assigned the best unit we have ever had in a location that cannot be beat. We were mere steps from the elevator and from the Adult Zone with its pool, two hot tubs (one broken upon arrival but happily fixed before our departure), the marvelously therapeutic steam room and fitness area with ample machines. A large gathering room with flat screen TV, the movie room and a peaceful library are also on that level. Our unit faced some large trees and the interior courtyard, and we heard NOTHING the entire week! After skiing all day, we were usually too tired to go out after dinner. Having a large assortment of quality movies available for in-unit viewing was wonderful! We watched five! during the week.
The location of Club Intrawest is excellent, and we took advantage of our proximity to a BC Liquor store, Affinity Rentals and Ski Shop, The Village Market and Chateau Whistler, where we enjoyed a magnificent dinner. The walk to and from Blackcomb Base Lodge (and Merlin's :)) is easy, and the convenient ski room helps to shorten that walk a little. We enjoyed fantastic skiing all week, and we had a wonderful time with friends and family.
I am always pleased to see how well this property has been maintained over the years, and the refurbishments of the bathrooms, furniture, most TV's and washing machines that took place several years ago was very appreciated by those of us who pay our yearly maintenance dues. However, it would be wonderful to have some upgrades in the kitchens as well. The stoves, fridges and dishwashers are not up to the standard Club Intrawest members have come to expect and that other guests are expecting. While the appliances work fine for the most part, they could stand replacement. We hope to see this happen in the next few years.
We look forward to many more fabulous vacations in Whistler, and Club Intrawest will always be our chosen home away from home! We love it there, and in our opinion, it, like fine wine, can only improve with age!

We traded our timeshare for a week of skiing during our kids spring break. Although our property is of a higher caliber, it helps to understand timesharing in general to appreciate what a place like this has to offer. Expectations should be different for a condo style vacation rather than a hotel and the Intrawest is a nice balance between the two. We timeshare/condo so that we can cut down on expenses for a large family of 5 by getting a bigger unit (than 2 hotel rooms) with a centralized living room to congregate plus kitchen and laundry facilities.

The Intrawest is in a great location. Walking distance to the lifts and villages with shops and restaurants. It has many of the services of a hotel and the staff was exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful. We were given an end unit facing the courtyard (as per our request) so we heard none of the outside noise issues others have commented about here on TA.

The unit is decorated "mountain style", which is fine for the area but could use some updating. The rooms have a "homey, lived in" feel. But it was very clean on our arrival and they did a good job on our midweek clean. Beds and linens were just so, so comfortable. Bathrooms looked as if they were recently updated (re-tiled and painted) and were equally clean. Wifi (free - thankyou) was stronger in some areas of the unit than others.

They have flat screen tv's (3 different brands?) but they are small and I am not 100% sure they were HD so the pictures on them were poor, distorted and warped. Channel offerings were just dismal! The old electric baseboard heaters were noisy (cranking) and use of them required way too many thermostats. It was either too hot or too cold so we could not get the room temp right. We did not hear anything from other adjoining units but occasionally heard steps from above.

Adult pools, sauna and resting areas are a very nice touch. I don't know if the kids activities are well attended but looked cute. The gym could use updating and be expanded. Ski lockers are convenient, plus free parking and the market in the building are also nice additions.

Overall we consider this a very good trade as the Whistler/Blackcomb area is a must visit in all seasons and a condo really cuts down some expenses.

Room Tip: Upper floors facing away from road or pools.
