Jackie at the front desk (Duty Manager) really made our stay special. She was able to re-arrange the rooms so that we could stay an extra night. Every time we went to the front desk, Jackie was there, with a smile on her face. Nothing was too much trouble and her restaurant recommendation (handmade pasta) was excellent. Thanks Jackie, you really helped make our stay in Whistler even more enjoyable!

Room Tip: A room at the back is best as it will be quieter

Blackcomb lodge is a fair value. Room was clean and comfortable. location has it's pro's and con's. Great spot in the village but if your room is on the front side it can be a bit noisy at night time. We were up during crankworks so there was a lot going on and a lot of people having a good time. My wife and I have stayed at BCL many times so we kinda know what to expect when it comes to the noise level. On another note the entire staff is just great as far as we're concerned. Front Desk staff was professional, very friendly and helpful. They helped us have a really nice anniversary celebration. We will be back!!

Room Tip: If you want quiet ask for a room on the back side of lodge.

Had a great 2 day stay at the blackcomb lodge. Location was great and staff was very helpful. I specially had a great experience with one of the employees Phil. He went above and beyond to enhance my trip.

We spent one night here recently and liked it. The hotel is very well situated in the centre of Whistler. The front-desk staff were friendly and helpful, especially when we checked in early and exhausted from the weekend's Ironman competition. They got us into our room as soon as they could, which we appreciated.

We had a loft suite. Upstairs were two single beds, downstairs was a king bed which could also be two twins. There was a kitchen which had everything we'd need. The room was a good size and very clean. You could also fit two more people in on a sleeper-sofa. This would make the place exceptionally good value but would be pretty crowded.

Parking is downstairs and is $18/night which is steep, but there's a free parking lot in Whistler village for up to 3 nights, so that would help.

All in all, we liked this place a lot and had no complaints whatsoever.

Room was nice enough but the bed was terrible- sagging in the middle and springs popping through.
The location is nice in that it's right in the village BUT not nice after midnight when people are streaming out of the bars across the way screaming for four hours straight. If you plan on being one of those ppl then I guess it's ok.
You can't check in until 4 and have to check out by 10 giving you 2 less hours than every other hotel I've ever stayed at.
If you're hoping for a morning swim before you leave, forget it. You're not getting any more pool time than what your 1 night stay affords you since the pool "conveniently" opens at checkout time.
It could've been worse. It's decent enough but don't expect any extras when staying here.

We stayed in a studio loft for one night at the end of July - temperatures in Whistler were in the 30's so a bit hotter than normal for that time of year. The hotel is definitely dated, but had a nice layout, with lots of room (sleeps up to 6); however, there was no air conditioning and it was unbearably hot. While the staff had provided two electric fans to help with the heat, we seriously considered moving to a new hotel. We ended up not being able to use the beds in the loft (because it was even hotter up there) and had our teenager sleep on the floor between the bed and pull out couch just to keep cool. Opening the windows at night and mounting the fans in the window helped a bit but then we had to listen to loud drunk people in the village square until 2 am. I would not stay here again in the summer. It is probably an ok hotel in the winter, when being overheated is not a concern.

Our room was so hot ... we almost melted at like 35 degrees in our room it may have been cooler to sleep in the sauna. Having kids in a hot room like that was not enjoyable. Avoid this hotel on hot summer days and nights like the plage. The climate control advertised only means heat... hard to believe a hotel in Whistler at such a good location can be so 3rd world.... we will not be returning.
