The Sundial is in a great location and offers good value for Whistler. We have been to Whistler many times and stayed at many hotels but we wanted a bit more room for the family. The Sundial offers 2 bedroom suites at a reasonable rate, so we thought we would give it a try.

Overall, the hotel is good. As a boutique, it doesn't offer all the services of some other hotels (valet, on-site pool or restaurant, room-service, etc.) but there are so many services nearby, it doesn't make much of a difference.

The room itself was spacious and offered a nice view of the valley. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. The only disappointing aspect is that, in our suite, the 2nd bedroom barely qualified as a bedroom. It is literally a large closet with a queen bed in one corner and a dresser. No closet or window. Very "cozy". This would have been fine for the kids but we had them split the king bed in the main bedroom into two twins and we slept on the queen in the 2nd "bedroom". Not a big deal for us, but it wasn't exactly what we were expecting. Given the availability and price of other 2 bedroom units in the village, I think that the accommodations are reasonable. As long as you know what to expect, the Sundial is a great choice.

Stayed 3 nights. Easy to find and good location everything in close walking distance. Reception was smart and spacious and cheerful. Room was 2 bedroom suite. Each room had 1 large bed, very comfortable and clean. Bathroom was veryclean with toiletries and hair dryer and bathrobes. Large screen tv in living area and both bedrooms. The living area was spacious with settee and chairs, log fire, dinning table and big kitchen with fridge, dishwasher, coffee facilities. Safe was also in 1 bedroom. We had a small patio outside and had views across area. Wifi was free and good, no breakfast included and car park charge would be $20. We parked free lot 5 and walked. Would recommend and would stay again.

We stayed here over the weekend & the staff were very efficient, helpful & nice. The room was very nice, it has two views- the village & the mountains, the bed was comfortable, even the sofabed that I used. The maintenance guys were quick to come over when we had a problem with the aircon, which they immediately resolved. Only 1 tiny thing that I noticed: there's a ring of "dirt" around the bottom of the bathtub. But all in all, we were very happy with our stay there.

We stayed in the Sundial as part of a two centre ski holiday in Canada. The location is great for skiing and access the town. The hotel is an apartment hotel so great for self catering but also good for a base to use the wide variety of restaurants within Whistler. The room has a bit of a strange bathroom configuration coming off the main bedroom but also off the main corridor but works well if all one family.

The staff and service within the hotel was second to non, with them trying to accommodate your every need and request. They put their selfs out where they help us with all difficulties including ordering food parking vehicles.

Niall the Front of House Manager is excellent at his job helping us with every request his team are really customer focused and always wanting to assist us. He is a real gentleman and a real asset to the hotel.

We would like to say a real thank you to the hotel especially as we had a ski accident whist there with out the hotel staff assisting my wife and my son during this stressful time I am sure we would have found the whole situation more difficult

Thanks again Niall we will be back

The sundials position is fantastic. right at the foot of the slopes opposite the Blackcomb
Gondola, near good bars and restaurants. At the end of the day you just walk in to the foyer and your skis/board are taken from you, boots are kept in your room. Ask for a high floor for good views and less street noise although we didn't find it noisy often. Suites are spacious and well equipped. Free dvds from reception who are great and will deliver to your door. Nice to have a kitchen and sitting area for the days when your missing the après ski. The second bedroom however needs some drawers as there is only a wardrobe so hanging is ok but no shelves so pretty impossible to put all your stuff away, our daughter had to use the floor of the wardrobe, not ideal.
We had one major criticism, on arrival after a long journey we went to get in to bed and realised our apartment hadn't been cleaned. Dirty bed linen still! It was however sorted quickly and the next day we received a fruit basket as an apology. I would recommend that the hotel employ experienced cleaners rather than 18 year old gap students. The other days the apartment I have to say was cleaned well.
Rooftop pool is good but no views really which is a shame. It gets busy so if you can afford it get a suite with a private one!
If you have children the Carlton and The Pan Pacific next door had a great pools, Pan had two hot tubs too overlooking the slopes, very busy but looked great. Couples and people looking for somewhere more quiet I'd opt for Sundial, families probably Pan Pacific.
Sundials restaurants are very good. Sushi village, yum yum.
