This lodge is about a 10 minute drive to downtown whistler in the little community to creekside. Very beautiful lodge with very nice layout. We stayed two nights in August with out family of four. Two little ones under 5. What we enjoyed about the lodge was the beautiful pool and the large rooms. Very nice layout for a family. Full size kitchens and beautiful bathrooms. It is always nice to have space when traveling with kids so mommy and daddy feel like they are having a little holiday. The lodge is close to a little market, Starbucks, subway and other restaurants and diners. Some really good food in the area. What we didn't like was the check in. No one told us we had to go to the lodge next door to check in. Not enough towels for a family of 4 in the room. Only 4 pool towels and after the first night we lost two sets of bathroom towels. The housekeepers only gave us two sets. They also have a note they only give you one pot of coffee pre stay. Which my husband was not impressed with. Over all though an excellent place to stay. On a side note they have a great BBQ set up to use. Next time we will be using it!

We stayed in September 2013 and had a 2-room suite... it was not only excellent value, but a really excellent room/suite... very close by to take aways and a decent supermarket if you want to eat it (after 3 weeks traveling we needed some home cooked food!).

The staff were super friendly and welcoming and they really helped us out with a late checkout and access to the facilities for the whole day of check out...

Can't fault it really... would definitely stay again, but I'm sure the price will be a lot different in winter!!! ;-)

We visited in summer and cannot wait to visit in winter too...very good communal facilities (gym, pool, sauna, BBQ...) and impressive apartment facilities (top brand appliances, good bedrooms and bathrooms). The location is superb! Very close to pubs and cafes and a well stocked supermarket and of course about 5 seconds from the gondola.

We recently stayed at this hotel during our visit to Whistler. The pros: washer and dryer in the unit, full kitchen including coffee pot, pots, pans, etc. a good amount of space in a nicely appointed apartment and a free parking offer during our stay. The cons: though much quieter than Whistler Village there really ins't that much to see or do in Creekside so we were constantly traveling to the Village, the coffee pot leaked everywhere (brought to Management's attention but nothing was done about it) and the cleanliness of the unit was not up to standard. There were hairs on the toilet, tub and towels when we checked in (again, brought to management's attention but all they did was empathize with our concern). Also, we had a "do not disturb" sign on our door on day #2 at the property so housekeeping skipped us but then then next day when there was no sign on the door they slid a "we see that you don't want to be disturbed" sign under the door to indicate that the unit would not be cleaned that day. Huh?? Compared to some of the prices of other hotels in this area this was a decent bargain but I'm not sure this property is deserving of such a high ranking.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of your experience at First Tracks Lodge. All feedback is appreciated, as it only helps us improve our service levels moving forward. Firstly, I would like to apologize for the experience you had while staying with us. Unfortunately, it seems we were not operating under our regular standards. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with young children. The finishes of the one-bedroom suite, its kitchen, and bathrooms were very nice. It felt a little bit rustic but in an elegant way. The view from the third floor is not the best as the mountain is practically next to the hotel. We could see some very nice and green trees practically a few meters from our windows. The beds were very comfortable and we loved staying here. On the other hand, there is not kids club or activities for little ones (other than the swimming pool). One thing that was surprising to us is that we did not get any help to move furniture or even unfold the sleeping cot (for which we paid extra) when it was delivered to our room. The person who delivered it just got it barely inside the suite by the door and left (!!!!).

Dear Laura,

Thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear that you had a "wonderful stay". With regards to our shortfall in assisting with the cot set up, it seems we were not living up to our regular service standards, and for that I apologize. I have discussed this incident with our guest relations and housekeeping departments to ensure we are making all efforts to increase this service going forward.

We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back again sometime soon.

Kind regards,

Jaime Dunn

We stayed 2 nights here and it was great! The hotel is very close to Whistler Village by car. The lodge looks good inside and out, and the workout area plus the pool area were great extra additions. Our room was quite large, with a spacious bedroom and bathroom, kitchen with all the necessary amenities (stove, oven, fridge, dishwasher, etc), plus large sitting area where the sofa bed was located. Both the sitting area and the bedroom had TVs, and everything was very comfortable. The room faced the forest, which was absolutely beautiful. The balcony was large and had a table with two chairs. The service was great, but the reception desk was not located in the building we stayed at, instead located at another nearby building. Regardless, they were always accessible by phone. There is a smaller village near the lodge, filled with all sorts of shops and a market. Very convenient for quick travel to gather some food. There is a nice lake nearby too. The room was very clean to begin with, but the cleaning ladies went above and beyond to make our room even better each day we stayed. Also in the room were a washing and drying machine. Overall, the experience was great!
