Just got back from First Tracks and had a great stay. We decided to upgrade to the 3 bedroom, which was great. Beautiful large suits overlooking Whistler slopes. The downside to this hotel is that because it is self catering they think that is a reason to offer poor service. We were travelling with 1 Infant & 1 toddler, so we had lots of luggage. We had a bellman help us to our suite when we got there, but when we requested it upon departure, the operator said if he could find someone he would send them... He was totally unwilling to try & help us out and be accomodating in any way.
Our room was not ready at 4 O'clock checkin so we waited 20 mins to get in... When we were checking out we requested to checkout at 12 rather than 11 and the operator refused. When we argued with him he said they would read us their policy book. The hotel was completely dead and this person was being very unaccomodating and very rude. After 10 mins of arguing he finally agreed to let us stay til 12.
If you have a room facing the slopes, it gets very noisy with Dusty's bar right across the way.More
