My husband and I stayed here one night on our way to Vancouver. We had a one bedroom condo (kingsize bed) that has got to be one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed at in my life. Getting from Whistler Creekside to the Village is really easy on the bus - no need to take the car and find parking - and a very short walk to and from the bus-stop. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy more of this beautiful lodge. Would recommend this to everyone!
ps: In the off season we paid $125 for a condo that in high-season could go for more than $300. :)

This lodge did not disappoint. We were there in August; however, it's close proximity to the Creekside lift of Whistler mountain is unrivaled. It has a great pool and hot tubs as well as a steam room and fitness area. It is private and quiet.

I'd imagine if you were a solid skier that this would be the place to be outside of Whistler Village. It's family friendly with a Boston Pizza, Starbucks and other popular amentities within a short stride of the lodge.

I would highly recommend this lodge for rentals.

Fantastic accomodation, First Tracks is First class and we loved it. Our holiday was in January, and was half the price of the December holiday season. The skiing was great, but my wife is a novice and that presented a problem. We had to drive to the whistler village for lessons and the green runs and she felt that she could not rest or just go to the hotel and relax as our children would be on the mountain by themselves. The only trail down the mountain to First Tracks is a blue run and a bit hard for her. If a blue run is good for you, and you dont mind driving to the village for restaurant dinners and shopping, this is the best accomodation in the area. We will stay in the village next year, but after that we will be back. And you have to pay for internet....cmon PLEASE!

Ovations, Director of Sales at First Tracks Lodge, responded to this reviewResponded 10 August 2011

Thank you for your feedback and positive remarks about First Tracks Lodge. When you decide to return, we would love to see you back, so I have thought I could provide a bit of information that may assist you for next time.

Although it is true that all adult ski lessons start in the Village, there is a green route from the top of the Creekside Gondola (Expressway) that can take you directly to the beginner area (Olympic). When coming back down for the day, there are plenty of green runs that can get you back to the Creekside Gondola, at which time you can download from there. It should, however, be noted that there are kids lessons (up to 12 yrs) based in Creekside.

As for restaurants, there are a number of fabulous choices within the Creekside area that could suit couples and families. To name a few, there is Dusty's Bar and BBQ, Boston Pizza, Creekbread, BBQ Bob's and Rim Rock Cafe. Just ask our guest relations team next time and we'd be happy to point you in the right direction. Another great option for food is grabbing a few groceries from the local grocer and preparing meals in your suite. Our kitchens are fully equipped for your convenience.

Lastly, the internet at First Tracks Lodge is complimentary, so I apologize that you had to pay and that it was not clearly noted. It must have been another server that you connected with. Again, please call upon the assistance of our staff to help get you online to our free server next time.

Thank you again and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

I stayed in First Tracks with my husband, older sister, and her family. We had a very nice condo/suite. It was very nice, if not as luxurious as condos at some resorts. The bedrooms were all a great size, and the bathrooms were awesome! The living/dining/kitchen area was nice and comfortable, though again, not uber-luxe. The whole building was very quiet. The staff was great-we had a couple little things, and they sent people to fix them right away. The cleaning staff also did a great job. In the main part of the lobby there was a self-serve hot drinks station which came in handy!
The decks facing the trails were great. The hot tubs and gym were very clean, user friendly, and not overly crowded.
The locker room was fine, very easy to access both from inside and out.
The best part is the location!!!!! you are literally steps away from the lifts-these are truly ski-in, ski-out condos. We choose Creekside because it was a family oriented trip, and we wanted a quieter lifestyle than you sometimes get in Whistler Village. All the amenities and stores you needed were in walking distance, and it was also very easy to get to whistler village by public transportation and car.
