Reviewed 19 January 2014

My family and I stayed at Four Seasons Resort at Whistler for 9 nights early January 2014. This is an outstanding property in all respects. We had a suite with adjoining room for the children, including three deluxe bathrooms, kitchen, awesome living area, internet, treats...the works. We were treated like royalty, though after a few days just like part of the family. Four Seasons Whistler is all about class, but more so, doing the simple things well.
The service is impeccable. We met the manager and dealt with everyone from the front desk, concierge, bell captains, restaurant staff, cleaners...all were amazing. We were greeted by name on most occassions and nothing was a problem. One evening I needed a chopping board....2 mins it was on my door step. I must specifically mention the shuttle drivers who went over and above the call of duty in being helpful, courteous and truly humble gentlemen. Diego was a star...my girls love you !!
Dinner at Sidecut was easily one of the best in Whistler, the bar and wine tasting a treat, cookies and hot chocolate......not to mention other edible treats.
Location is excellent...at the base of Blackcomb, away from the noisy bustle of the Whistler village, but easily accessible by the shuttle or short walk. All the people at ski concierge were fabulous...yet again, service was faultless. Pool, jacuzzi and spa- top notch.
There is little doubt that the staff love to work here, and they are committed to the hospitality industry.
Skiing at Whistler was awesome, but a lot of our fondest memories will be of the service, style, staff and impeccable facilities that Four Season Whistler delivers.
This is a truly phenomenal resort in a class of its own. We can't wait to return in the very near future.

We stayed at the Four Seasons in Whistler between the 11th and the 18th Jan 2014.

When we arrived, the guys as the front door sorted out out luggage for us and the check in was quick and simple. We had room 353 which was a Superior room which was large to say the least, king size bed, chair and TV areas, desk, walk-in wardrobe, another separate wardrobe and a massive bathroom with separate shower and bath. I really couldn't fault the room except for the view out of the windows which face the the courtyard (just) and the other room opposite. Not much of a view but to be honest we didn't really care, we were there to ski and we were only in the room during the hours of darkness. The room had tea and coffee making facilities, a large LCD TV and small mini-refrigerator (which was really useful for milk for the tea and coffee facilities).

We didn't use the spa but there was a large swimming pool heated to 30 degrees and two hot tubs heated to 40 degrees, all of which were outside.

We didn't use the restaurant or bar either, preferring to walk into Whistler upper and lower village.

The ski concierge is excellent, the hotel take you skis and boots and out them in a building next to the Wizard chair lift. All you have to do is walk the 5 mins to the chair lift (there is a shuttle bus too!!) and they have you nice warm boots and skis ready for you. Ay the end of the day there is someone waiting for you at the bottom of the slope to carry your skis for you back to the concierge. We have never been so pampered when it comes to skiing, we didn't have to carry our skis or boots once!

Location wise the hotel is in the upper Whistler village which is smaller and quieter than the main village. It is about a 5 mins walk to the Blackcomb Wizard chair lift from which point you can get to anywhere in Blackcomb or Whilstler mountain. Normally a 5 mins walk is a bit of a pain with all the gear, but it really doesn't matter with this ski concierge service.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff, they are really good. Yes they are all really young an either British or Australian, working the season, but we found everyone to be really friendly, efficient and helpful. The guys at the front door are particularly good!!

We loved this hotel and would stay again, although we were not so keen on Whistler village or the skiing but that another story, as far as the hotel was concerned it was great.

Room Tip: Stop at Portobello's for breakfast on the way to the ski concierge in the morning!

We arrived after the New Year, upon arrival we were greeted by Tony who gave us a warm welcome and information about the hotel/village. Our mountain view room was lovely. Dinner at Sidecut was very delicious, we loved the open fire, it made our dining experience wonderful. Breakfast in our room the next morning was amazing, True Four Seasons dining experience. We asked our server what we could do today as my wife and kids were not up for skiing in the rain. He advised us to check out the Squamish cultural centre and in the evening go ice skating as it was under cover. The kids loved it, and we got some great photos by the Olympic rings, the village was so pretty at night! Thanks for the recommendation Cam! Skiing through the Four Seasons was the best. Upon arrival to the Four Seasons ski concierge we were well taken care of. Ben helped us each day along with Georgie and the rest of the staff. Having that little help each day with the kids was a real plus! - We loved the hot chocolate and cookies too!
Hopefully we will save up enough to return again next year! Thanks Four Seasons Whistler!!!

Room Tip: Check out the Ski Concierge at the bottom of Blackcomb mountain.

This is my 8th trip to Whistler. I have stayed at most of the luxury hotels. This hotel blows them all away. The service is fantastic and not fake. I feel the staff are truly trying to make your stay amazing. Spa is convenient and has a great pool and workout facility. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed. Use your Amex card with fine hotel resort program and get free room upgrade, free breakfast, early check in /late check out and $100 food and beverage credit.

I've stayed in every hotel in Whistler - the Four Seasons is the best (at time of review). Normally not a fan of large hotels, but this property manages to pull off a friendly, warm, smaller hotel feel. Staff are casually friendly but professional - not stuffy. Rooms spacious. Great outdoor pool with 4 hot tub/jacuzzis and bar service (and nicest change rooms on the mountain). Ski concierge take our gear to the hill where we can drop it off at the end of the day before hitting apres - love this. There were personalized cookies for my sister's kids when she stayed here. Prices higher than many other Whistler options, but it's hard for us to stay anywhere else now (when we can't score a bed at a friend's cabin). Parking not included which irks me…but zero free overnight public parking in Whistler. The Fairmont Chateau charges even more for parking than 4S.

My husband and I just stayed at the Four Seasons for a ski getaway. We booked an early bird ski package which included 4 days of lift tickets (we were planning only to use 3 days). Due to plane rerouting, we arrived a day early which was unexpected. We checked in at 2am and were told that we might not be able to use our ski passes a day early which was a little frustrating given the expense of the package. However, when we woke up in the morning and spoke with the concierge, they were more than helpful and we were easily able to trade in our lift tickets for flexible days. From that minute on, our stay was spectacular!!! Not only is the facility beautiful, but the people who work there are amazing! They greet you with your name and know what you want to drink. Everyone has a smile and they even help you put on and take off your ski boots!!! The breakfast buffet was wonderful and had ANYTHING that you want to eat. The hot tub and pool have servers during apres ski which was fantastic. Sophia from Scotland who worked at the pool was amazing and knew exactly what we drank and always had a funny joke and a smile on her face. Will definitely be back! it didn't hurt that we had 37 inches of fresh powder while we were there!!:)

Our second visit to this wonderful hotel. The suites are wonderful, with the added bonus of a real Xmas tree, decorated and tastefully lit in the corner of the living room, just lovely.
The service at the hotel is outstanding. For example we asked for roast parsnips, roast potatoes and brussel sprouts with our Christmas Day dinner and it was no problem at all.
Hanna, who runs the Concierge, is simply marvellous and ensured our stay was memorable, including a trip to Vancouver to watch an NHL ice hockey match and the Chef's Table at Bearfoot Bistro, magnificent.
Whilst the snow was not all we would have wished for, the hotel more than made up for it. You just can't beat the Ski Concierge, with a hot chocolate and cookie, as they peel off your ski boots.
This hotel is very hard to beat!
