“Amazing hotel”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

I recently stayed at the Four Seasons to attend a conference at the Fairmont Chateau. What struck me upon arriving was the service from when I entered the hotel until the time I left. Never had someone behind a check-in counter came around the counter to 1) personally hand me my key and 2) walk me to the correct elevator that would take me to my floor. The staff at this hotel is fantastic.

I booked a Superior Room with a view of the courtyard. The room was very well appointed, and the fireplace was a very welcome addition to warm up next to after a day on the mountain or just walking around Whistler Village. The bathroom was quite large with double vanities, a huge shower, deep soaking tub and separate water closet.

Although it's expensive, room service was prompt and the food quite good. For my last night there, a co-worker and I had dinner at Sidecut. The food was amazing. It was a splurge but well worth the expense.

One other thing that is worth mentioning is the free smores bar and daily wine tasting.

All-in-all, I really enjoyed my stay at the Four Seasons and cannot wait to return. It truly is an amazing hotel in a beautiful setting.

Room Tip: If you want a great view, ask for a Mountain or forest view.

My wife and son and I spend 5 nights at the Four Seasons Whistler, and found the resort to be absolutely world class. While one would expect that at the Four Seasons, it seemed that the staff went far beyond the usual effort to make this a terrific experience.

We were picked up at the Vancouver airport by a driver that the Four Seasons arranged, and we were met at the gate by a well dressed, extremely pleasant man, who gave us a running talk on what we were seeing as we made the beautiful drive to Whistler. Prior to arriving, he called the bellman, who greeted us by name, and whisked our bags off to our room while we check in.

Check in was a breeze, and our suite was simply terrific, with great views and luxurious furnishings. Everything about this resort was first rate, with a beautiful lobby, bar, restaurant and spa. The outdoor hot tubs were a terrific way to soothe a tired body after a full day of skiing, and the presence of an outdoor bar with attentive bartender was a nice touch. There is something about soaking in a hot tub outdoors in a snow storm that is simply wonderful.

Service at the restaurant, which we only used for breakfasts, was excellent. The waitresses learned our names, and we had delightful conversations with them. The 4 to 5 PM complementary wine and cheese tastings were also delightful, with generous pourings of wine, and great commentary from a delightful Australian host. We usually followed this with a trip outdoors for S'mores before resting before dinner.

While it is not impossible to walk to the main town, we never did, as the van or private car service was always available and very helpful. The bellmen and drivers were extremely pleasant, and eager to talk about the town, the skiing, and themselves. There was absolutely nothing pretentious about this world class resort, which was refreshing.

The ski concierge service was a big selling point. The resort is not a ski in ski out hotel, but it doesn't matter, as they have a storefront right near the chair lift at Blackcomb where they will keep your boots warm, and help you in and out of them. After they take off your boots you can help yourself to warm cookies and hot chocolate - a nice treat to come off the slopes to.

All in all, this was clearly the class of Whistler. Not inexpensive, but a good value nonetheless.

Room Tip: I doubt there are bad rooms, but the suites are outstanding

Arrived at the Four Seasons Whistler for 10 days, we had a lovely room , plenty of space with fire and seating area and desk with large beautiful bathroom and walk in wardrobe could not fault it at all it was so relaxing. The Bar was great for cocktails and gorgeous après nibbles the staff where always very helpful and friendly.
The Spa was lovely to relax in after the slopes with fab Jacuzzi and hot pools with a huge choice of wonderful treatments.

My second year at Four Seasons Whistler for Spring Break. Very child friendly for my 3 kids. Clean. Big rooms so lots of space for all of us. We enjoyed the ease of the ski concierge at the bottom f the mountain. Good food, but a bit pricey. Lots of other options for eating close by.

Four Seasons does e-mail short surveys to our guests. These will be used to measure the level of service our employees provide. If you feel they deserve the best score, we would appreciate if you could take a moment (will only take one minute) to fill out the quick survey. Most important is to know, only 9 and 10 are considered great scores.

You can book here with absolute confidence. From the second you arrive to the second you leave the hotel staff are amazing. I have never stayed in a 5 star that goes to these lengths of service. The rooms are beautiful, they are big, the bed is amazingly comfortable and the rooms have gas fireplace which is brilliant when yo make it back from a day on the slopes.

We went skiing and the ski concierge service is second to none. Your skis are stored at the Blackcomb base and several very helpful staff are on hand to get you in your boots and on the slopes immediately.

The bar is really good, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and rally make the bar feel like a good relaxed place to hang out.

The spa is excellent and the pool and hot tub are fantastic, the pool is outside so it is a bit of a cold dash through the snow to get in!

If you want to go to the lower village there is a shuttle bus, my only complaint is the last shuttle is 10.45 which was a little early. We missed the last shuttle and a taxi back was almost $8, although it can be walked in about 7 minutes, we were just lazy!

We had a couple of issues with the internet when we were there, but the hotel sorted it all out and could not have done more

Book this hotel with confidence!

We had a 3 day getaway in Whistler and we recall the excellent stay that we previously enjoyed at Four Seasons. It was even better this time around. Service was amazing and everyone was very friendly.

Room Tip: Suites were among the best anywhere, however, they are priced high.

Attended a medical conference at the Four Seasons on Spring Break with my wife and 14yo son for the second year in a row. The conference room rate was a great incentive! Fantastic hotel, location and staff. Ski concierge service at the base of Blackcomb Mountain is super convenient whether walking over in 5 minutes or by hotel shuttle. Snowboarding on the Horstman Glacier on the back of Blackcomb Mountain after 20 cm of fresh snow has fallen is 'Seventh Heaven'. From the brochure on the coffee table: "If my 4-yr-old daughter wants to go camping ... does roasting marshmallows to make s'mores at a campfire on the lawn at the Four Seasons count?" Hot chocolate and s'mores and a hot tub after skiing or snowboarding at Whistler ... it doesn't get much better than that!

Room Tip: Deluxe King had a comfortable sofa bed for our 14yo son.
