I've always loved the Four Seasons brand. I liked the Four Seasons Whistler very much because it is gorgeous, very friendly staff and impeccable customer service. When we first drove in we were greeted "welcome to the four seasons". The lobby has a very warmth feeling to it. It is not huge but very cozy. The checked in process took only about 5 minutes or so and the front desk kindly informed us about the property. Do not miss the free hot chocolate in the afternoon It is delicious! and I think they have free wine tasting around 5pm too.
The room is pretty large in size, it has a couch, walked in closet and a safe deposit box. The bed was comfortable. We had a small balcony overlooking the pool and the mountain. Gorgeous view!
The bathroom was also large. It has deep tub and a separate shower. Water pressure was great. The bath amenities are l'occitane products.
We ate lunch and dinner at the 5280 bar and it was pretty good. We also sat at the bar and the bartender was very accommodating. If I remember correctly his name was Steven. He was very patient with me while I was trying to figure out what kind of wine to ordered.
We tried to have a dinner at the Sidecut but they were booked that night so we didn't get to try it but I am sure it is good because the surf and turf dinner from 5280 bar was excellent. And while you there make sure to order the dessert sea salt caramel chocolate tart. It is to die for!
Overall it is a very nice stay for my husband and I. If you have the budget and considering to book this hotel- my advise to you : JUST BOOK IT!

My husband and I have happily stayed at this Four Seasons at least half a dozen times but this last trip in March 2014 was very disappointing. My family and I have frequented many Four Seasons through the years and always look forward to the exemplary service and experience so I hope this time was only a one off.


To start, during my father's stay in February of 2014, there was a miscommunication in his booking and so he had to forfeit his third night stay due to the cancellation policy. We understood that and accepted the terms. However, the assistant manager at the time did mention at the that when my father returned for his visit in March 2014 he would try and "do something" for us. So when we booked our stay March 2014 we contacted Mr. Doring but his response was that there was nothing he could do as the hotel was busy and fully booked. A bit disappointed we asked if he could even waive our parking fee. The response we got was that that would be impossible since the valet is contracted out and out of his hands. I found this a bit peculiar and not very truthful because during my stay at the hotel in May 2013 the manager at the time waived our parking fee for the entire stay (for an unrelated reason)!


Another issue, upon booking my sister had requested for a crib. When checking in she had to ask again a second time. However when she arrived at her room the crib was still not there and had to call housekeeping a third time. THis time they brought a playpen, not a crib. So finally upon the fourth try, the crib arrived.


The first night I kindly asked housekeeping if they could do turn down at 6pm since my baby needed to sleep shortly after. However housekeeping never ended up coming.


This next issue is something very minor but thought I would mention; the slippers that were delivered to my room were both left feet!


My brother in law went skiing during our stay in Whistler and enjoyed the ski concierge. For some reason, the last day when he finished up and arrived at the ski concierge he was ignored and no staff member came to assist him.

We asked concierge to help us book dinner for 8 people at the Sidecut for our Saturday dinner. However, when we arrived the hostess informed us that only 6 people were booked. She managed to arrange for a table but it took awhile to juggle all the reservations since the restaurant was fully booked


I understand that the hotel was busy during this time in March, but I really don't think the service and experience at a Four Seasons should be conditional. I just booked our family vacation in September at the new Four Seasons Disney and hoping that we will have the Four Seasons experience we have come to know. I truly hope this time was an exception.

From the welcome desk and front of house team, to the reception staff, the hot chocolates every afternoon, great staff at ski concierge, sommelier at the Sidecut, spa team ......... Oh and not to mention the steaks !

This is a fantastic destination hotel, a family favourite.

Its a little unfair to mention just a few of the team by name but Diogo and Morgan the shuttle drivers book-ended very ski day with cheery briefings and great recommendations.

Our rooms were brilliant, generously sized, well kept and serviced.

Breakfast is fantastic - the buffet fills your tank with whatever fuel you want, healthy right through to sweet treats and full cooked. The team making omelettes are perfectionists - and enjoy cooking for you.

We cannot speak highly enough of the Team at Four Season Whislter.

Stayed here for a few days while in town for a friends wedding. Used the ski concierge which was great- what a perk! You can enjoy smores down by the fire pit on your way to the pool/hot tub after a day of skiing. The pool is accessed through the spa which looks very lovely (although I didn't have enough time to try it out). Plush robes, towels and slippers are available for use once you get to the pool. Drinks are served to you directly in the hot tub (menus are posted next to the tub). The waitress also came around with freshly baked cookies for us while we were engrossed in our apres ski experience.

The rooms were well appointed. Lots of space in the walk in closet and the bathroom. Enjoyed the in room fireplaces which made for a cozy atmosphere. Ordered room service one night and utilized valet parking. Both were good. Service is always great at the Four Seasons. Will stay again when I am in Whistler next.

10 min walk from the village, excellent service and very convenient ski concierge by the gondolas. Attentive staff and great spa facilities. Good place to be if one does not want to be in the center of the village.

The first thing you notice is the staff as you arrive. From the staff at the door to the reception to the concierge they actually seem happy and want to help you rather than just doing their job. This was consistent with the bar tenders, wait staff, and anyone else we met. The hotel is located in the Upper Village. It is a short walk to to the Wizard Express (Blackcomb) to get started skiing. (Us the path not the street which we did not find until the second day.) No need to carry any gear as the Four Seasons has a ski concierge at the base of the lift. Whistler Village is a short (15 minutes) walk (again take the path not the road) or the hotel shuttle runs about every 15 minutes. The rooms were large and clean but we spent more time on the slopes and in the bars.
Two minor issues. First the hotel was having issues with Wi-Fi and my tablet would not always connect. Others seemed to be having the same issue. Second, we rented ski equipment at the hotel. Very convenient as it is just down stairs by the restaurant/bar and the equipment is waiting at the ski concierge at the mountain. However, the equipment you you try on is not the equipment you end up using. The equipment (boots) is just at the hotel for sizing. The boots I ended up with had been packed out after a season of use. After one run I returned and traded for a size smaller.

Almost every element of this stay was beyond first class , all of the staff are so helpfull from running you into town in the hotel cars to insisting with help fitting your ski boots . We spent half out honeymoon hear , and it was amazing . Our not so good travel agent forgot to tell the hotel it was our honeymoon but when the hotel did find out a few days later we returned to strawberry and champagne waiting in our room . Then when checking out we got a personal apology from the manager for not upgrading us on our honeymoon . No need for any apolagies 4 seasons , this is an amazing hotel packed with amazing , food , staff and rooms . Good job !
