Due to lack of snow some attractions were closed however it did not stop kinds and adults from having fun. The village walk is good with nice restaurant. Souvenir shopping is expensive so it's better to stick to funds things with children. Parking for disabled in the village is limited as well no special area for boarding gondola etc for disabled.. Overall a fun place for families or for those snow sports fanatics

When we rented our ski equipment, staff only adjusted one of my ski's, which turned out not to be a big deal since they are also located at the top of Whistler. Some staff were much better than others. Worth the time to make sure you have one of the better informed and educated staff.

Hey, sorry you had trouble with your bindings, but you must have us mixed up with Affinity Rentals which are located right next door us.
We are an independent store that only operate in the village, we do not have a store on top of the mountain.

Whistler the great ski mountain is getting an ever more interesting place. Beside skiing in the winter and golfing on several golf courses in the summer there are conventions going on all year round. Lots of hiking in the Alpine flower meadows thanks to all the lifts and gondolas. Peak to Peak gondola is a very special experience transversing the valley from Blackcomb mounain to Whistler mountain. A few days ago I just discoverd a new created bike and walking trail through pestine forests along the river which connects to the whole network of trails. I also attended a meeting and signed a petition for a university beeing build just south of the main village. The architects drawings are all in place to accomodate1.500 students from all over the world. A techniqual university for all sports equipment, presently the best in the world, is located in Vienna Austria. They are very interested in this Whistler university. Berlin in Germany, Japan and Vancouver are all looking foreward sendig students to this new university. Our students from Canada can then attend some semesters in these participating universities from all over the world. There are other faculties planned like enviromental studies, gastronomical education to mention some. First clas chefs from our restaurants will be teaching culunary skills at this university. Natives and their culture will also be a subject. There is a meeting with the local goverment coming up and many people hope it will become reality.
A very exciting time for Whistler, beside all the sports, nature and all the recrational facilities, it will get an intelectual and educational aspect as well.

Rented a full suspension 26" Stumpjumper from Village Sports. Guys at the shop were very accommodating - putting SPD's on the bike. Bike performed great while riding the XC trails around Lost and Green Lake - slight problem with not being able to adjust the tensioner on one side of the pedals but a minor problem.
