Five friends - all of us in our fifties - and all business travellers, stayed here for three days at the beginning of April. Everything was fabulous.

Check-in was personal and professional. Rooms were suites - each with a kitchen, including fridge, stove and dishwasher. Rooms look very spacious but that is in part due to the "murphy bed" which folds into the wall - making the room a living room when it is put away. Although we were apprehensive at the beginning, the beds were very comfortable.

Staff at the hotel are phenominal and nothing is left to chance.

Secure lockers on the main floor are provided for your skis. Great idea.

Walk out the back of the hotel and you are right beside the two gondolas. Ski out from either Blackcomb or Whistler and you are beside the back door. Excellent location.

The pub/restaurant in the hotel has a great atmospere and is packed every night.

Loved the hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I thought this was a great hotel. Breakfast buffet is included as well and if you book your stay with the whistler.com website, you have the option of choosing free parking as one of your options to save you $25 per night in their secured underground lot.

Your going to need a room key to access the elevators and secured parking gate on level P4 so park your care temporarily infront of the hotel, check in, get your room key, and head on over to the underground parking lot just off of Village Gate Blvd. The Holiday Inn next door shares this secured section of the underground lot with the Pan Pacific and we accidentally took the wrong elevator and ended up in the lobby of the Holiday Inn instead. No big deal, so we just stepped out of the Holiday Inn and walked a few steps over to our left. According to the counter agent, you can leave you car in their underground lot til 6pm the day of your check out.

The 3 of us (me, my wife, and my little boy) stayed in room 7712 that overlooked the fire hall/police station across Village Gate Blvd. My little boy loves fire trucks and police cars so this view was a dream come true for him. The fire truck did venture out during the night once and I woke up because of it, but I was quite tired so I fell back to sleep again almost instantly. Those that are light sleepers may want to request a room that does not face Village Gate Blvd. If you like to sit and look out of the window, the room has a chaise type couch along the window in addition to a sofa bed. There is also a balcony with 2 chairs and a table, but I did not venture out onto the deck.

The suite was very large and comfortable and had a small kitchen as well. As you walk into the suite, the kitchen was to your left and the bathroom was on the right hand side. The kitchen features a stove with 4 burners, a small apartment sized fridge, a microwave/oven/vent fan (above the stove), dishes, cups, knives, towels, coffee maker (with Starbucks coffee), soap, toaster, and a dishwasher. We didn't cook dinner in our room so we only used the microwave and fridge. I did see one medium sized clear casserole dish and I'm sure there were pots somewhere as well.

The bedroom had a flat screen TV hidden behind 2 cabinet doors, which were built into the wall. There was no closet, but the furniture was very functional and instead, it had these taller cabinets that flanked each night stand that you can put all of your stuff into. The wall that faced the bathroom had a window with frosted glass and wooden blinds on it. On the other side of the window that you can't see though is the bathtub. On the nightstand, the clock had an iPod dock as well.

The bathroom was quite large, bright, and functional. I think all the toiletries were Aveda. One stand out feature was the spacious stand up shower infront of the toilet. Water pressure was very good. and the bath mat was like a large super thick white towel. The bathtub seemed quite luxurious, but we didn't use it. Towels were also well stocked.

In the living area was a queen sized sofa bed, 2 cubes that doubled as bedding storage and a coffee table, flat screen TV with HD channels, fireplace, cordless phone, chaise by the window, and large table that doubled as a dinner table. The flat screen was on a mount that swiveled so you could change the viewing angle of the TV. There was some cabinetry below the TV that housed a DVD player and magazines. If you find yourself sleeping on the sofa bed, there is also a CD player alarm clock on the same table as the cordless phone.

The in room wireless internet was relatively fast and a password is given to you upon check in. There was also supposed to be a wired internet connection in the room, but I did not look for it or use it at all. The TV's remote control had some internet related navigation buttons on it but I don't know if the TV was able to access the internet at all.

Mornings included a buffet style breakfast in a restaurant on the opposite side of the check in counter. You get to eat here for every day you stay here and it was better than I expected. Breakfast is served from 7am til 10am but we got our food at around 9:20am so maybe I missed some items? At the toasting station, I did see pancake syrup, but no pancakes. There are 2 dining areas you can use: the main restaurant and a more intimate lounge area accessed through the food area. I believe most people would have been satisfied with a morning meal here. Taking advantage of the breakfast buffet, you are saving about $12 to $18 per person assuming you have a complete meal and not just a muffin and coffee

The list of food included the following:
-various pastries, toast, mini muffins, english muffins, activia yogurt
-fresh fruit (fresh cut pineapple, cut grapefruit)
-3 types of thinly cut cheese (chedder, mozzerela, and some other cheese with seasoning on it)
-3 types of cereal (I remember only recognizing the fruit loops)
-fried potato cubes, bacon (a bit too burnt),scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with cheese, brown beans
-tropicana apple juice, orange juice
-chocolate milk

For other meals, we ate at White Spot and at the Old Spaghetti Factory, both of which are family friendly places. I'm not a huge Old Spaghetti Factory fan but my little boy likes it, and it isn't very pricey considering the fact you get an entire meal for less than $15 per person on average. Only the ribs and NY steak were more. The kids meals were no more than $7 and came with soup or salad, drink and ice cream. The 3 of us spent about $38 before tax and tip while dining here. Pricing at these restaurants seems to be the same as locations in Vancouver. If need your Starbucks fix in the morning, crave a pizza, or need some toiletries, you can venture down the steps outside of the hotel and you'll find what you need. There are 2 pizza places (Avalanche and Grassroots Pizza), a Shoppers Drug Mart, and movie theater located very near the Pan Pacific. The items at the drug store are price higher than their locations in Vancouver. For example, 12 cans of Pepsi are $8.49 plus deposit and tax, whereas it is about $4.50 on average when not on sale in most Vancouver supermarkets. If you are staying longer, you may want to stock up on food and other goodies before heading up to Whistler. I recommend you visit Walmart, London Drugs, or Extra Foods in Squamish while on route. Squamish is about half way between Vancouver and Whistler and you'll be able to see the places I mentioned while on the Highway through this town.

The staff were friendly and the hotel's amenities and location were well suited for us so we will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Don't know where to start really - it's all good at this hotel, charming friendly staff, good rooms, excellent buffet breakfast. We were in 6613 with a mountain view and two bedrooms. Room was well equipped and very comfortable. The hotel is a five minute walk from the gondola and is in a very quiet location. Very handy for the village if you want to eat out and the excellent Avalanche takeaway pizza place is a stone's throw away. Every single member of staff that we met went out of their way to help us. Only slight criticism I can muster is that the (free) wifi reception was a bit spotty.

We would definitely return here.

PS Our original booking was with the Pan Pacific Mountainside and I'm pleased that we were moved - whilst the hotel is at the foot of the slopes it does seem slightly busier and noisier there

We stayed here with our two young children (3yrs and 10 months) and my husband's parents and brothers and sisters. We all had the most fantastic time! The hotel is in the heart of the village - everything you need is within a few minutes walk! Plus it is only a very short walk to the base of the mountain. The rooms are extremely comfortable and well appointed and decorated. The house keeping staff do an amazing job at cleaning the rooms every day (and we would often leave quite a mess with two young children about!). The staff in the hotel bent over backwards to help us all with our numerous and varied requests. And to top it all off the breakfast is great! This was our second trip back to the Pan Pacific Whistler Village and we can't wait to go again!

Overall great experience - stayed in the 1BR fifth floor, nice partial mountain views from both rooms, good sized patio, large bathroom with plenty of towels, one flat screen HD Tv in each room, lots of storage space, and when I say full kitchen, i mean FULL...complete dish sets, cutlery, utensils, counter space + bar counter and seating, full size fridge / dishwasher / microwave / coffee machine...plenty of cream / sugar / salt n pepper...was like our own kitchen. Only wish the bed was King size, but you can't have it all I suppose...

Service was efficient and pleasant all the way through, from the check in to room service. Speaking of which, the in-house restaurant Nochi has some of the most delicious spring rolls (both veg and non veg) we've had in a long while...if you're strict on these matters just ask them to mark which ones are with meat - my wife couldn't tell and ended up happily eating a bunch of both ;) The Cha Han rice entree was very tasty as well but we needed some hot sauce for extra kick, and it arrived right away.

Spa-wise, we weren't too impressed for the price we paid...and the service did not go above and beyond so I would recommend looking elsewhere for massages. No steam room either. Didn't use the pool / hot tub but they looked quite inviting, being heated in the open air with mountain views.

Great hotel location, just a few steps from Shopper's Drugmart, pizza and the village...parking should have been included as per our off-site booking but the girl at front cleared up the charge.

Would def.stay here again and recommend it to all, but do check other sites such as the main Whistler ones for much better rates.

Just back from staying at Pan Pacific Village Centre. Super time. On arrival we were upgraded to a One bedded suite, with full kitchen, which even included a dishwasher and 'brewing station'. (coffee/tea replaced daily) Suite also had a balcony, which was lovely. Loads of space in suite and super bathroom. Beautiful comfy beds and really quiet rooms.Complimentary breakfast served each morning, which was fabulous. Loads of choice, hot & cold, the full works. The staff at pan Pacific were superb, so pleasant -especially Andrea at reception, she always had a lovely smile on her face to greet you with each day. Complimentary ski lockers also a bonus. Location could not be better - for skiing or eating/nightlife- so central.Rooms were spotless and cleaned thoroughly each day. We really can't fault the hotel in any way.

Room Tip: One bed suite great loads of space

This hotel didn't disappoint. As a previous resident of Whistler BC I knew where in the village we wanted to be. Location perfect, tucked away from the Village stroll but 3 min walk to lockers and lifts. Hotel staff went beyond expectations to ensure we had a holiday. They seemed to take pride in the hotel, like they knew how much of a good thing that they were involved in. Truly delightful. Restaurant was splendid. Fantastic appies and great place to meet friends. My friends (longtime locals) were pleasantly surprised how good the food was and wondered why they didn't already know. We loved the suite and will be returning for sure. Thankyou to all staff. You did good! Congrats!

Room Tip: It's all good. Value for money..
