One of the best hotel stays we have ever had. The location is perfect – recessed from the busy village stroll, with no restaurant on site (other than the breakfast room) means it’s nice and quiet by Whistler standards but still two minutes walk to the Village gondola. The narrow but long pool and hot tubs offer views of the mountains. Given we stayed in September, the hotel was perhaps a little quiet (although we still saw quiet a lot of people at breakfast) but the complementary – not asked for - upgrade to a one-bedroom suite with balcony was still a great touch, and the suite really felt more like a small luxury apartment than a hotel room, with two TVs, a well equipped kitchen, sofas and chez-lounge. Breakfast is fine, continental so not hot choices but good quality and nice to have, although if you were staying longer than a couple of days you would probably want to try one of the great cafes.

The service could not be faulted. We arrived really early and left our bags (no problem), and then returned later (although still earlier than the check-in time) to see if we could get in the room before taking the Ziptrek Eagle Tour (which I would also heartily recommend). Again, they went the extra mile and got us in, but before our bags could be sent up we had to head off for the tour. On telling them this, they said someone would bring them up but, given how we had messed them around, it was no surprise that when we got back our bags weren’t there. Not irritated in the least, we called and our bags were brought right up by a very apologetic member of staff. Not only that, but when we returned from an evening out, a large chocolate gift (I would guess with a 20 dollar value at least) was waiting for us with a hand-written note of apology about the luggage.

Just a great hotel. If you are contemplating a stay in Whistler (particularly, given the suite sizes, a longer stay) then I cannot believe you will find a better one for the money.

We got a great rate on the Pan Pacific web site. Took the free parking available with the 'Preferences' package. Once there, was given a room upgrade while checking in (without asking for it) by the friendliest front desk staffer ever. So...for $139 a night, we got a large suite, free breakfast, free parking, awesome service, and all of this at a beautiful, modern 4 to 5 star hotel. How could it be any better? I realize we got a great off-season rate, but it's still the best hotel experience we've had, and would have been even paying full price.

Had a lovely 4 days in the Whistler Suite. Hotel is really friendly, staff very knowledgable. Pool not up to much (size wise) but other than that everything was excellent

Great hotel! Third year in a row staying at this hotel and nothing but good things to say about it. Clean, comfortable and friendly service by all staff members. Awesome location in the centre of Whistler village. Parking is expensive at $25/night plus taxes but there really isn't much alternative. Would defintely look at staying here again.

The service from every single staff person we encountered was friendly, efficient, and helpful. Loved the bike valet service! Our kids loved the pool and jacuzzis. Continental breakfast was the best 'simple' breakfast I've had in a hotel. Room was spotless and nicely appointed. And of course, a great location!
