Clock Tower

The Clock Tower is right in the heart of Whistler Village about 50 feet from the gondolas, great for skiing, downhill biking and shopping. It is right on the village stroll and can be noise if your unit is facing the village stroll.
This hotel is run by Vacation Internationale and has only 15 units. If you are doing the time-share exchange, you will be angered by having to pay US$112.15 for hotel taxes and parking for a week. I have exchanged for numerous time-share units everywhere including the Bear Lodge in Whistler village and have never had to pay for any hotel taxes or parking. Do not exchange for Clock Tower units if you think the fee is unfair to you as a time-share owner.
There is one 15-minute parking spot right in front of the hotel to allow you to check in and unload your luggage.
This hotel does not have any elevators and if your unit is on the second floor, there are 5 short flights of stairs to climb, which can be a difficult task for some. The staff are very friendly and will assist you with your luggage.
Our unit was 211 and on the second floor. It is a small and cozy unit, very clean and modestly decorated. There is one bedroom with a full bed plus a loft with another full bed above the bedroom. The mattresses and pillows are comfortable. The living area and the kitchen are both small but functional. Although there are 2 beds, 4 people will find the unit a bit crowded. It is more suitable for a couple.
The parking is underground right below the hotel. There are only 10 parking stalls for the 15 units so try to check in early to secure a spot. Once you have paid for the parking, the stall is assigned to you for the duration of your stay.
The kitchen is small with small size appliance but adequately equipped. The living room is bright with 2 huge skylight letting in lots of light. There are 3 air-conditoners/heat pumps in the unit that do a great job in heating and cooling the unit. The TVs are flatscreen but too small for viewing. There are plently of stations to watch though.
WiFi is free but a bit slow. It is very reliable though with good signal. You can use the washers and dryers on the 1st floor for free between 4-8 p.m. when the hotel staff are not using them. The laundry room provides washing power, bleach and softener.
We did a lot of shopping of clothings at the shops along the village stroll and the Upper Village. We also did 2 walks to Lost Lake (3.5 Km) and to Green Lake (5.5 Km). We enjoyed our walks a lot.

Room Tip: Get a room not facing the village stroll as it can get really noise sometimes right into 3:30 a.m.

Really enjoyed our four nights here mid-May. A very nice facility in a great location. The only drawback is no elevator. Parking is limited but not a problem in low season. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a one bedroom and they are spacious. With the fully equipped kitchen, we ate in most of the time.

I have been coming to Whistler twice a year for the last 15 years. I have stayed in hotels and in timeshares. Helping to keep my family's vacations to this world-class ski resort affordable was the main reason I bought a timeshare (resale, not retail!). The Clocktower is one of the best timeshares for a stay of a few days to a week. 50 to 60 steps to the lifts and Mountain Guest Services. The units are spacious and the kitchens are well supplied with cooking utensils. There are no 'extras amenities' at the Clocktower. No hot tub, pool, on-site restaurant or gym. I don't usually use those things anyway, so I like a unit that is more like a full apartment. One bedrooms have two TV's and sleep four. Studios are limited to 2 guests. Another plus is that they allow guests access to the laundry facilities in the evenings.

Room Tip: If you luck out and get unit 214, it is a one bedroom with a loft, more like a two bedroom.

Our family of 4 recently stayed at the Clock Tower in Whistler to go skiing. The best part of this hotel is the proximity to the gondola. If we were any farther away I probably would have been dropping my equipment and saying I wasn't going to walk any further! We had a one bedroom unit but it was more like two bedrooms. We had a double bed up in the loft and a double bed in the main bedroom on the main floor. The kitchen was large and in hindsight I would have brought groceries with me. Food is very expensive on Whistler even at the grocery store. The ski room is located just off the lobby and is quite small. Most important there is no elevator and if you are in a one bedroom you will have many stairs to climb. There is also limited parking on a first come, first serve basis. The price is reasonable for parking ($6) compared to other hotels or public pay parking (approx. $38/24 hrs).

Room Tip: The rooms facing the shops may be busy at night however the rooms facing the road can be noisy in th...

We stayed at the Clock Tower for a week after exchanging points from our Diamond International account. You could not ask for a better location - 30 seconds walk to the village lifts, ski shop and rental place right on the ground floor of the hotel, and you are right on the doorstep of countless shops, restaurants and bars.

The room we stayed in was small but perfectly formed, had everything we needed and the pull down bed added a bit of adventure to it. The room was absolutely spotless. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but as my wife commented it was like staying in a tree house which we thought was great fun! We had packed our ear plugs having read previous reviews but we were not bothered by any noise from the village until the very last night and that was only due to it being a Washington State "College Weekend"!

The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Rob on the front desk, always happy to offer a recommendation or a bit of local knowledge.

This was our first visit to Whistler, I am sure we will be back and I am sure we will stay again at the Clock Tower.

We have often gone to Whistler in the fall to enjoy the colours and the quiet. This was the first time staying at the Clock Tower. The location was great, right in the Whistler Village. We had a studio with a murphy-style bed. It was no problem putting it down each night but if you are with a partner one of you has to have the "inside" position which is like sleeping up against a wall. That is the only reason we are giving 4 instead of 5 stars. The room was comfortable, clean and roomy enough for two of us. It had a full kitchen with apartment size appliances. The staff were friendly and helpful. During the summer and being right in the Village I could see it being a little noisy at night. You might want to request being on the backside of the building if that's the case.
We would definitely return.

Room Tip: Back of the building if you want more quiet.

My wife and I have been to Whistler a number of times. This was our first time at the Clock Tower and we really enjoyed it. The location is amazing. Once we arrived we did not need to use our vehicle at all, as almost everything is within walking distance. We booked two rooms at the Clock Tower, for us and for our kids. Both rooms were very comfortable. We appreciated the staff. They were very helpful. An elevator would be nice, but you can't always have everything. We will be staying at the Clock Tower again.
