“Amazing Experience”
Reviewed 23 September 2009

We did the ATV lakeside dinner tour with Outdoor Adventures and had an absolutely incredible experience. We lucked out and being the only ones on the tour. Our guide, Jake, was fantastic. As soon as we felt comfortable on the ATV's (our first time ever on them) he let us do some more intermediate/advanced trails. We wanted to see Cougar mountain, which is not as developed and touristy as Whistler and Blackcomb mountains and the experience was incredible. Knowledgeable and friendly service. We ate dinner at the Nicklaus golf course, where again, the staff were fabulous and the food was to die for. I would highly recommend this tour operator.

“Via Ferrata Mountain Climbing was a great experience”
Reviewed 28 July 2009

If you are in good shape and like to challenge yourself, then try the Via Ferrata Mountain climbing on the peak of Whistler Mountain. We booked this through Canadian Outback Adventures, but I think you can book it through several sites. The cost was about $130 (Canadian) for adults and $110 for kids 18 and under. While everyone else takes the ski lift to get to the top, you get to climb on the glacier using ice axes and cramp -ons and then climb the rock walls using the iron hand holds (and some free climbing on some sheer rock faces) to get up to the top. The orientation and putting on the gear takes about 30 minutes, the climb takes about 2+ hours with another 30 minutes to take the lift down and the trail back to the school shed. The views along the way are spectacular and the guide will take pictures of you (with your camera) as you climb. When you look at them you will be amazed at what you acomplished. We took the 12:30pm trip in July with Ryan as our guide. He did a great job of explaining how to use the safety clips and cables and was very knowledgable about everything in the area (ask for him as your guide - you will not be disappointed).

“Pemberton Jet Boating was a Blast!”
Reviewed 1 July 2009

Outdoor Adventures booked our family of four (two college teenagers) on Eric Pehota's Jet Boat tour of a portion of the Green River, including runs through class-III rapids. The 25-minute drive to and from Pemberton was filled with Eric's lifetime of regional adventure stories. The moment we all heard Eric's 340-horsepower jet boat start up, we knew we were in for 100-percent fun! If he asks politely if you would like to do some 360's, SAY YES!! We've spent the last five days looking at our photos of the "flight" with great memories. A highly recommended 3-hour tour, with great wildlife viewing either in the morning or evening tours.

“ATV Fun in Whistler”
Reviewed 31 December 2008

We went on the ATV BC Tour in June 2007. We throughly enjoyed the trip and had an excellent time.

We were given plently of protective clothing to wear (jackets, over-trousers, boots, gloves, hats and goggles) - we looked a right sight and this added to the fun! They protected us from the mud and puddles so there was no worries about your own clothes getting dirty.

The guides were very good - helpful, fun and made sure we were all good before, during and after the trip. The trip itself was amazing as we went up a rough track in the mountain, through big puddles, steep sections and over huge rocks! The scenery was amazing.

I've never been on an ATV before but this didnt make any diffrence as we were all shown what to do at the start. If you have kids then they could sit on the back of your ATV and looked like they had plenty of fun too.
Afterwards we had lunch at the lodge - sandwiches etc which was a nice end to the trip.

I would definatly recommend this and would love to go again!!

“Wonderful winter activity for Whistler, Canada”
Reviewed 5 January 2007

I strongly recommend the 2.5 hour "Woof Pack" Dogsled Tour run by Outdoor Adventures, Whistler, Canada. It is not a cheap activity, but it is unique and a lot of fun. We had to rent two sleds because of the size of my group, but it was worth it. There is a 15-30 minute bus ride from Whistler Village which takes you to the main tour site and there are many teams of dogs, as well as a "musher," to which individual groups are assigned. The dog teams head off into the backwoods with a musher and the individuals in each sled seem to have an opportunity to ride on the back of the sled. There is a complimentary hot chocolate and cookie session after the sled tour is over. There also is an opportunity to feed the dogs in the team treats after the tour has concluded. There are opportunities to purchase photos after the tour--they were pricey, but a nice souvenir of the trip. Overall, this was a great winter outdoor activity.
