“Splendid Lodge in a Beautiful Spot”
Reviewed 5 October 2012

We loved everything about this lodge, from the location and scenery, to the building itself -- all wood and stone, to the room. This was the nicest room we stayed in during this 2 week trip, which included some very fine hotels. The room was large, well appointed, including a large stone gas fireplace. The bathroom was huge, all in stone, with a heated floor, whirlpool tub plus a stall shower. We hated to leave! The staff was great. There is a free shuttle on demand that takes you to the town of Whistler. There is also the free use of bicycles and several bicycle paths to explore. We only had one night here, but could easily have stayed longer.

If you’re looking for the best place to stay in Whistler, the Nita Lake Lodge will not disappoint. This hotel, with its beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, is pure luxury. No detail has been overlooked from the well-stocked mini kitchen to the sumptuous offerings at Aura.

We had a lake view room which I highly recommend because the view of Nita Lake is so soothing and peaceful. Obviously a great cleaning staff as everything was super clean. Pets are welcome on every floor but the 3rd.

The food, wow, so many excellent choices. The Fix café near the entrance will provide quick snacks for the day such as cookies, muffins, sandwiches, coffee. Be sure to purchase the frozen cookie dough so you can bake up some Nita Lodge memories at home. The dining room menu is innovative and reasonably priced. Our stay included a per person $15.00 breakfast voucher. Our favorite breakfast was the perfectly presented curried eggs.

You can count on the staff to meet your most frivolous needs. They are friendly, courteous and professional. They are very knowledgeable about the area and able to answer all of your travel questions.

The free shuttle service is more like a personal chauffeur service. We were in no way inconvenienced by the short distance from town because when we called for a ride, they asked our location and came within minutes. We never used our car once. This was a real treat. There is also secure underground parking (our parking was free with an on-line coupon).

Other amenities that make this lodge outstanding are: the on-site spa, complimentary bikes (with helmets & locks) for 3 hours and a paved biking/walking trail right out the back door that goes all the way into Whistler. We walked on the trail one day (2 hours into town) and rode the bikes the next. There’s also a public dock right out the back door so bring your fishing rod, canoe and water toys. Or walk to one of the lakes close by, Alta or Alpha, and have a picnic or swim at their lovely beaches. So many choices, so much to do.

The peace and quiet of this lodge combined with an outstanding staff and amenities put this place at the top of our Whistler list. Can’t wait to go back!

Room Tip: Get a lake view room.

Perfect for a stay in Whistler if you like tranquility and being away from the crowds. Lodge is around 5km from Whistler Village and serviced by a free, on demand shuttle from the hotel which works well (and I believe up until 10pm). We stayed in a lakeview suite which had a separate lounge area with fireplace. This was a corner suite; cost a bit extra but worth it for the space. View from balcony over lake was spectacular. Decor in the hotel is fantastic with extensive use of wood and stone and for a small hotel it has lots of different areas to eat and lounge in, so never crowded. We got a $15 pp credit for breakfast as we booked direct with the hotel and this was certainly ample to have a great breakfast every day. We also ate dinner and 1 lunch at the lodge and food was fantastic each time, and not expensive, we felt, for the standard of the hotel. Also a great little coffee shop on site with fireplace, good for a light meal, coffee or snack. Agree with a previous reviewer that pillows were not the most comfortable and also bed sheets tended to come loose at night and get all rumpled up. Minor problems for what is otherwise a fantastic hotel.

Room Tip: Go for a lakeview suite if you can. The one bedroom suites are larger and have a door separating th...

What a great find. Its so peaceful. My husband and I were looking for some rest and time hiking in the mountains. Nita Lake was a fantastic home base. We totally enjoyed our stay, so much so that we extended are stay a day. Nice and HELPFUL staff. You will not be disappointed

Room Tip: The lake view is more than worth the extra price.

Located in Creekside at a small lake the hotel is an excellent base camp for activities in and around Whistler. We had a Studio Lakeview which was very nice. Breakfast in the restaurant is perfect. The hot tub on the upper level outside gives beuatiful views to the mountains around.
Definitely a place where we will come back to.

Great beds. Clean and quiet rooms. Haven't spend much time at Creekside, but will consider booking in here during the winter season as well (just a quick stroll to the lift). Perfect location in the summer, close to the valley trail and lakes. You can borrow bikes (for free) to get around and they also have a free shuttle that will take you to Whistler Village.

I took my guy for his birthday here. It was a surprise for him and it went off really well. The staff
were so nice with everything, and even supplied some lovely chocolate treats. We had dinner in the Aura restaurant with some friends and it was very good too. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone with discriminating tastes.

Room Tip: Room 217 has a balcony, nice views, and a 4 poster king bed.
