“Great Creekside Accommodation and location”

We stayed at Nita Lake over the New Year period. The hotel is situated on Nita Lake, away from the hustle and bustle of Whistler village. The hotel itself is fairly modern with a rustic charm. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a junior lake view suite, which was spacious and well appointed. Breakfast was included in the room rate and this was excellent. The hotel bar is nice and welcoming after a long day on the slopes. The lodge runs a regular shuttle to/from the village and slopes (which was most welcome) but the only downside is this is run on a first come, first served basis. Would highly recommend and probably stay there again.

We stayed at the Lodge December 2013. The personnel were welcoming and accomodating with our requests and inquiries. We had a "studio" room and it was more than adequate for our needs. Heated tile floors, wonderful soft bead and nice linens, clean rooms, excellent service, fabulous location (not ski in/out, but you would be across the road into Creekside for that. Just 5 min south from Whistler village), with plenty of amenities right there. We took a dip in the hot tub as it was snowing! The bar onisite (I'll review it separately if it's here on tripadvisor) provides plenty of great options (a bit pricey, but just our perspective). We didn't eat in th restaurant, but it appeared elegant. The train station runs right beside the hotel extension. There are pathways that can be hiked/walked all the way back to the main village. They also run very convenient shuttles throughout the area. We would definately stay here again and highly recommend it as well. Only thing to remember is that you would still probably want to have a vehicle for a bit more freedom and with that you have to pay for parking.

Room Tip: The studios are very adequate for space for a couple.

In actuality, our experience with NLL started well before our trip. We had booked two studios (all that was left) for a party of 5. Samantha, totally awesome, called us to confirm that we actually needed two rooms, and then found us an adjoining suite that was less $$ when booked directly with NLL. So she saved me money and got us a better set-up even before we arrived. +++

We did have some small issues on-site (I didn't find all of the staff to be friendly, some folks really stood out while others sort of referred us around to find help elsewhere). I would say that was my biggest issue, and even that was manageable. I thought the breakfast, and staff at Aura were terrific all around. I loved the lounge for a quick bite after a long day -- you order downstairs and then you can take it up to your room to eat. The staff and food at FIX was great too. FIX is much more economical than Aura in reality and still very delicious.

Some craziness before our trip made it so that I didn't even realize that we'd be 6-8km from Whistler Village, in the much more mellow Creekside area. But this turned out to be a huge positive. It was quiet, and we had everything we needed at NLL and in the vicinity (yummy though expensive pizza at Creekbread, easy access to mountain, mellow ski school for kids, etc).

In summary, with all the great reviews that NLL gets, they have high expectations to meet you actually arrive! The rooms are just as big (but cozy) as billed, and our experience was, all-in-all, lovely.

These countless reviews speak for themselves, which is obviously why I chose the Nita for our stay Jan 7th - 10th. Everything we encountered was top notch at this hotel from check-in to check-out. The staff are truly refreshing and are very helpful/knowledgeable everything Whistler. We frequented the Fix Café for breakfast, which was delicious. The rooms were nicely appointed & large with balconies and a bathroom that lives up to the standards of a resort. I could go on and on about all the positives but they've been mentioned in other reviews. Given that there is a complementary shuttle that runs till 11pm to and from various spots in Whistler Village, there is no real reason to stay anywhere else. Book the Nita Lake Lodge, you wont be disappointed.

9 nights at Nita Lake Lodge was not enough! The beautiful setting makes the stay away from Whistler Village well worth any extra time that it takes to get to restaurants and/or shopping. We were happy to be away from the noise and hustle-bustle of the main village - and the amazing shuttle drivers make getting where you need to be so easy! Glen the BC Cowboy, Dan the Man, Gentleman John and Courteous Kyle were not only excellent chauffeurs, but also full of great tips on what to eat where! They are really "in the know" and we found them to be a valuable resource. And very accommodating when in need - like when my son forgot the knee brace one morning that he absolutely needs to ski - or dropping us at the door of the restaurant (off route) when a walk in the pouring rain would have meant we would have been soaked. The entire staff is truly amazing - always smiling, helpful and eager to lend a hand. Especially sweet Sam! There is such a cozy, intimate feel to the NLL - with such nice extra touches as hot chocolate in the lobby after a long day of skiing and make your own s'mores at the outdoor fire pit. Happy Hour specials that change every day are available in the bar for the adults in the crowd. Be sure to get a reservation at Aura for dinner - the service is impeccable and the food excellent! If it weren't for all the top notch restaurants in Whistler Village that we didn't want to miss, we would have been happy to hang in the Creekside area. Be sure to get your morning cappuccino at FIX - the cafe at the front of the hotel. The ski access is made easy by the NLL locker room - just a quick walk to and from the Creekside Gondola, which is far less crowded than the Whistler or Blackcomb Gondolas. Our two story, two bedroom suite was perfect - and had a great balcony with a view of the beautiful lake and the surrounding mountains. Every room was spacious and comfortable. Such a great visit ~ we'll be back someday!!

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a lake side room - what a view! Fireplace is a plus!

We spent New Years Eve at Nita Lake and truly enjoyed the amazing location and facility. The staff are all so helpful and friendly. The Hotel Shuttle made getting into town a breeze, and we didn't need a taxi once. The rooms are great with plenty of amenities. A real luxury experience in the Whistler area!
