“Quiet soft sand beach”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

Stopped in here during the month of June to get my toes in some sand.
5 minute drive off highway 59.
Beautiful soft sand, very relaxing and quiet (the only person there).
Nice shallow water.

Next time I'll have to try the snack shack.

“Nice park. Unfortunately in lockdown 10 months of the year.”
Reviewed 10 October 2013

There is a positive and a negative side to this great park. The positive is that this truly is a Manitoba gem. Beautiful sandy beach, warm shallow water, great swimming for all ages. You have to stay for the entire day and watch the gorgeous sunsets. Sandy's chip stand is a must visit for lunch or for dinner after a fun day in the sun. Newly renovated with an extensive menu of great eats and beach treats to please everyones palate. Patricia Beach is a beautiful park that has not been overly developed. Kept mainly in its natural state, this is a paradise for nature lovers, sun worshippers and bird watchers alike.
Now for the not so great. There is a park attendant that works during July and August who thinks he owns the park. He is convinced that everyone is out to vandalize or destroy the park. He is a fear monger of sorts...trying to convince everyone that ATVs will take over the beach, dogs will be running around everywhere, people partying all night long and individuals in 4x4 trucks will be tearing up the beach. This has become so bad over the years that he has convinced the MB parks office to erect a huge steel gate and has it locked for 10 months of the year restricting access to the park. This beautiful park that had unlimited access for over 3 decades is now in a state of lockdown due to this individual. If you wish to visit Patricia Beach Provincial Park, best plan your visit between Canada Day and the end of August or you will be disappointed as the gate will be locked. Our Manitoba summers are short as it is and now some of the best months of the year to enjoy the great outdoors (May, June, Sept & Oct) are now restricted due to the gate being locked to the park. So sad that one individual has restricted access to this amazing piece of Manitoba paradise.
If you are planning to visit Patricia Beach Provincial Park next year, I urge you to contact the Grand Beach Conservation office and urge them to open the gate at the same time they open the gate at Grand Beach Provincial Park so everyone can enjoy the wonders this park has to offer.

“Patricia Beach”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

Forty-five minutes northeast of Winnipeg on Hwy. 59 and then a short drive on a gravel road (319) is Patricia Beach, a long stretch of fine sandy beach. The water was surprisingly warm along with numerous sand bars. We could easily see our toes even two feet below the surface. A lovely way to spend the day for just five dollars. It would have easily scored a five out of five if the washrooms/changerooms were upgraded to a higher standard.
