I booked here because I had an early flight out of YWG. Staff was great and friendly, Big issue is that the wireless did not have a strong enough signal for my phone or computer to connect at the low 370 numbers. Lobby was not much better so I used the computer in the hallway outside the business center. Not my idea of private but my US carrier drops all data packages at the border so I have to wifi connect. restaurant is highly priced.

Rooms was not the quietest.

This is a truly basic stay offering. The rooms are older, washrooms are dated and updated with an early 90s flair, doors old and painted, pool bizarre and cheesy (some kind of dinosaur theme that just doesn't work, poorly constructed, not coherent, rarely used, ugly brown paint slapped on doors...... I could go on but I think I have conveyed the dingy, crappiness of it), and the beds were not firm or modern.

On the plus side: top notch service, and close to airport.

In short, there are much better options at the same price point at the airport.

Thank you for your comments. We are in the process of doing all that has been commented on. Our doors are midway being replaced. We are 2/3 completed a room renovation, Beds are always being replaced as part of our replacement program, but that being said that we like to hear from guests if some should be replace before then. Our pool aptly named Dino Beach Water Park is exactly that a prehistoric themed family pool area, most days is very well populated, though it is not for everyone. We hope on your next stay that we can offer you our Corporate Floor accommodation which we have specifically designed for travelers like you. We appreciate your Business and your feedback.

Arrived late to the airport but were quickly picked up by the shuttle bus. Lovely friendly driver. Unfortunately there was a bit of a mix up with the payment however. My mother had booked the room for us and had rang and spoke to someone at the hotel who had told it was fine for us to check into the room and for her to come and pay for it in the morning. When we arrived we were nearly not let into the room as they needed a card swipe; all our cards were uk debit cards which the hotel did not accept. The receptionist let us into the room, but then rang to ask me to get hold of my mother to confirm the card details as they had lost them. Baring in mind this was about 1am this was very inconvienient. I called my mother who was understandably annoyed, and got the details the receptionist required. After that check in, the room was lovely, spacious, clean, airy, the heating had been turned on so the room was nice and toasty. The bathroom was efficient, however not as modern and well kept as the Victoria Inn in Brandon which had a modern shower. Very compfortable beds - just what we needed after a day of travelling! Went down to the restaurant for breakfast which was delicious, between the three of us we sampeld most of the menu - the apple and cinamon outmeal was delicious. Check out was quick and efficient. Oh forgot to say, we had an unrequested morning alarm call at 5:45am... after arriving at 1am this was less than welcome!

In short - lovely hotel rooms and breakfast, however the edge was taken off by the alarm call and confusing card details / payment policy on check in.

Would definately stay again when flying into Winnipeg Airport.

Room Tip: Ask for one away from the lift

I stay at the Victoria Inn a few times a year. The staff is friendly, and most helpful. The airport shuttle is very handy and the lounge is great. If you have kids, the pool area is second to none. I highly recommend this hotel for business stays, travel or just plain leisure.

The hotel is very updated and has a great pool area. We stayed along the back side of the hotel on the first floor. There wasn't any and noise and the window looked into the courtyard. This hotel has a decent restaurant and lots of free parking. The pool area is a hit with kids, and the hot tub with its waterfall feature is kinda cool. Not to expensive and very close to the airport, its the closest except for the ones on airport property. Pet friendly with a fee but only on the first floor.

Dear Guest: thank you for your nice comments we appreciate your business. Regarding the pets rooms being on the first floor. We do limit pets to our first and second floor, but we do this to ensure that we can provide other guests an allergy free environment. Plus it is also the most convenient rooms to the rear exits for easy pet access.

Just a quick comment on the exceptional service, hospitality, ammenities, and degree of comfort my daughter and I experienced and a recent stay at the Victoria Inn in Winnipeg. The staff treated us with the utmost respect and friendlyness that was second to none. The family accessability to the pool was exceptional, the food was great, and the atmosphere was perfect. We are looking forward to a return visit.

I had to stay here because of the crazy flight cancelations but I do not regret choosing Victoria inn over Sandman hotel or Best Western.
One disappointing thing was the shower water being constantly brown if you don't use it for awhile. It goes away if you let it run for a long time but other than that, it was fine.
But one advice, ask for the room that is not facing the swimming pool unless you do not mind the chlorine smell from the pool.
Despite the smell and the water problem, I totally recommend this hotel. The front desk clerks were very kind and so were the servers at the restaurant (Chicago Joes). Food was good too.
