We stayed here for 3 nights and it was very nice. The hotel has been renovated and we barely recgonized it when we arrived. The staff was very nice and we had a very nice end room with a couch and flatscreen tv. The restaurant has also been renovated very nicely and the free breakfast was very good. Get there earlier though as it ends at 9:30am and was also very busy around that time. Highly recommend and we will stay here again.

Where do you start? having had a very long drive, we asked the young receptionist for a quiet room. She gave us one on the main highway at the front of the building. Traffic noise was horrendous! Air conditioner was broken so we couldn't close the window. Fridge was broken and leaking all over the floor.
We complained and were given another room, but the receptionist didn't tell us that it was in another wing of the hotel, so we spent 10/15 minutes looking for a room that apparently didn't exist. Eventually we were told where it was and found the room. It was unbelieveable. The noise in this room was even worse. It had the highway on one side and the off-ramp on the other and sounded as if the traffic was coming through the room.
Again we complained and this time the duty manager offered to put us in a "quiet" room. Why the receptionist didn't do this to start with we have no idea, but we had had enough and decided to leave. (in the middle of the night).

The corridor outside the 2nd room and the elevator leading up to it were filthy. I had complained to the receptionist when we first arrived, but nothing was done. The duty manager had no knowledge of this when I told him 2 hours later. The duty manager told me that it was the receptionists 1st night on the desk on her own and that she didn't seem to be able to cope. I agree, in fact a previous contributor summed it up by saying that the staff are all "airheads".

This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Wouldn't go near the place again if you paid me to.

Well to start off, they screwed up our reservation. They advertised poolside room, there is no such thing. Then when I requested a different room with outside access, they gave me a room with a window. Then my 3 boys were stuck in their elevator for 45 mintues, and when I went to the front desk to ask what was going on the lady ignored me and continued to talk on her phone. This was one of the worst stays ever. The hotel is falling apart, there is false advertising, and the staff are airheads. Do not stay here. You will regret it. Gauranteed.

My husband, my 8 yr old and I rented a 1 bedroom suite with pull-out. We stayed for 9 days so we definitely had a chance to experience the amenities. The room was large and comfy and completely remodelled. It also had a balcony which unfortunately faced the parking lot but we did enjoy a bit of fresh air now and then. Don't worry about noise, the room was practically sound proof - we never heard any traffic noise. This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Winnipeg's largest mall and also close to a large selection of restaurants. The Olive Garden and Red Lobster are very close by. We found that the hotel restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. (The buffet is excellent). We appreciated the complimentary breakfast for the adults and kid's breakfasts are only $3.99. Service in the restaurant was friendly and efficient as was service at the front desk. The pool area was terrific! It had a decent size water slide, a shallow toddler's pool and a hot tub for the adults. Everything seemed to be well maintained. My only comment would be that it would be nice if towels were provided at the pool rather than guests having to lug down their room towels. Two PCs were available for guest use which was so handy for us as our son was constantly hogging the laptop we had with us! One other amenity that wasn't available that would have been appreciated would have been washers and dryers. Not a huge deal as a laundromat is available fairly close by but it would have been very convenient. All in all an excellent property which I would recommend without hesitation.

This was the second visit to this hotel, where the whole party were treated extremely well,Breakfasts were exceptional, but would have like a little more choice as a diabetic.
Only critisism ...Tea for the british customers needs to be two bags in the pot, before the water is poured in????BUT>> we shall be back.we liked the convienience of Polo Park and Red Lobster close by.

We just traveled across Canada for two weeks and this was our favorite hotel during the trip. At first it looked like the construction outside would be obtrusive, but it was not.
Our room was huge, clean and fairly upscale. The pool was warm with a fun waterslide. They supplied bottled water as the tap water had a stale taste to it. Altogether we were very pleased.
