I was back visiting Winnipeg and was exploring St. Boniface and remembered that this was here.

I never visited while living in Winnipeg and took the opportunity to explore today.

The staff were very friendly wearing period costumes and performing era appropriate work.

There are buildings and grounds to explore. You can also go up the stairs and see what the guards would see as they kept watch.

I appreciate learning more about Manitoba history with a hands on approach.

Thanks for your review, we're glad you enjoyed the tour. Our blacksmith is on-site every day and even helps out with some repairs around the Fort!

Amazing day at Fort Gibraltar! Definitely recommend for families coming to Winnipeg. Leave lots of time as you don't want to rush.

I only found out about Fort Gibraltar after reading the leaflet at thw tourist info, but for $10 realised it was worth a visit and was not dissapointed. Easy to do in juat a morning or afternoon, it is an impressive space, the staff are all friendly and knowledgable, and I learnt so much about lofe in 1815 just by chatting with them rather then feeling like I was being lectured or talked at.

What a fabulous venue! We attended a wedding reception at Fort Gibraltar and were very impressed with the fort, food, and staff. The venue is a wonderful trip back in history.

The fort really brings alive the fur trade experience. Reeinactors are well versed in their roles and answer questions from a historical perspective.

If you are a tourist, or even if you live here, do not miss to visit it. A trip in history. A great way to discover how do they live in the Prairies decades, centuries ago! Ideal to bring kids

We went in February 2018. The $100.00 admission for four of us was really overpriced for this event. Staff at the ticket office had no information. Not much to see. Food was awful. Poorly organized with unmotivated staff. Don’t waste your time and money. Go to the Forks or some of the great museums instead.

Love the spirit of the festival. There is always all kinds of activities for all ages to participate in! We like to attend every couple of years. Fort Gillbrator is definitely part of the attraction. We always enjoy the our time spent at the Fort! Lots of food, drink and entertainment.
