This is a terrific spot to park it in Winnipeg. Central to everything, fine facitlities with excellent staff , the hotel offers a Spa, workout area and a variety of room styles. Great for business , or weekend families. Close to shopping and airport.

I have the pleasure of staying at the Clarion Hotel at least one night per month when I am travelling for work related purposes. The most recent stay I had was late in February 2014. The staff there is extremely helpful, professional, and thorough. I have the distinct pleasure of having developed a friendship with some of them. Tara, the room service attendant, showed me two rooms on the fourth floor that have recently been renovated. Well all I can say is WOW! Classy, comfortable, beautiful!! I sure hope the reno's go ahead and that eventually all the rooms will look that great, not that they were not great before, but WOW! See you all again soon!!

Our was very clean and spacious. The staff was very nice and helpful. Was able to leave my car in there parking lot for no extra charge while we traveled and took there airport shuttle bus to the airport. My daughter had a lot of fun in there pool as well. I would stay there again.

We choose the the Hotel to spend some time with our grand kids swimming in the water park.
The hotel website offers "2 story waterslide, waterfall, hot tub, mineral spa, steam room, kiddie pool and rock wall". In fact, the mineral spa and steam room are off limit to Hotel guests. The kiddie pool is the coldest pool of all pools ever. After we paid had $350 for one night, the pool was crawling with kids that dropped in and paid $5 to come and swim at the hotel for the afternoon. Load boisterous uncontrolled kids made the environment uncomfortable for my grand kids. Probably due to its high use and lack of maintenance the Hot tub was smelly & filthy. We had not signed up to go to a public pool!!!
Check-in was late by 1.5 hours and when I requested an extension next day to make up for the delay the front desk person was abrasive and rude.
They have a serious issue with the air handling systems. Internal rooms cannot be cooled to a reasonable temperature. Their proposed resolution of a 78 Degree room was to send up a fan.
I would recommend that if your looking for a Hotel in Winnipeg, do yourself a favour and find another Hotel. There are many better choices.

As our website states, we do offer our family water park area complimentary to all our hotel guests. This includes the hot tub, kiddie pool, water slide, and main pool with waterfall/rock wall. We offer access to the mineral pool & steam room to our hotel guests for an extra charge, however access to these amenities are complimentary if you are having a spa service, or are staying in our Executive or Theme Suites. I do apologize for any misunderstanding from the information on our website!
The water park area is exclusively for the use of our registered guests and we do not allow people to pay a $5 fee to come use our facilities. I understand that during the Holiday season our water park area is quite busy with families who are staying with us, and that can cause the water park area to be quite loud and busy. If there were any issues with the water park area regarding temperature or cleanliness, we would have been happy to have maintenance look into this. Next time just stop by the front desk!
With a building this size, and outside temperatures fluctuating, it is sometimes difficult to maintain a temperature that is comfortable for everyone. I do apologize that we did not try to relocate you to a more comfortable room, we would have been happy to!

My experience here was not positive.
To start, they gave me a different room than I had booked and didn't say anything. So I went back and they gave me a new room, no apology or explanation. Get a new room, go to that one and I walk in on a lady - the room was already occupied. Go back to the front desk, no apology for that unpleasant experience and get sent back to the first room.
The room was strange. The curtains are too short to cover the whole window and there are no blinds, so you'll be getting light in your room all night. The TV was the smallest I have ever seen; about the screen size of a tablet. The room was very plain and missing basics, the bathroom had no garbage, the sink had no spot to put the soap so you get soap all over the counter, they are small things but they make a difference, amazing that the Clarion couldn't figure them out.
There were loud bangs at all hours, the pipes were banging around; hard to sleep.
Cleanliness wasn't the best. There was hair in the shower and a crayon and grapes on the floor.
Ordered food to the room and it was expensive and poor quality.
Staff were indifferent at best, but most were just rude and blunt.
This is not the worst hotel in Winnipeg, but it's not great, it is average at best with a high-end price by Winnipeg standards.
My company always used the Clarion, but enough is enough, I've advised our HR guys not to book myself or my clients there anymore.

I understand your concerns regarding our guest rooms, however I am excited to inform you that we are beginning complete renovations of the hotel in the new year. This will include all guest rooms, meeting space, and public areas (including the lobby and lounge). We are very excited for these changes to be happening, and cannot wait to share them with you!
The cleanliness of the room is inexcusable, and I have spoke with our housekeeping dept regarding this incident. My hope is that we will learn from these mistakes and improve.
