Manitoba Museum offers an outstanding look at local natural history starting 4 billion years ago and ending this morning. Heavy on geology for the first few rooms, it then moves to how the landscape and wildlife shaped the people. Then how the Hudson's Bay Company shaped the people. And finally, how the people are shaping nature and the landscape.
Don't miss the fascinating exhibit on the difference between a man's and woman's parka.
The museum can take 3 hours. The planetarium and science exhibit are extra.
The gift shop is weak for a museum of this stature.
