Went for brunch with friend. Meals were good but not extraordinary. Portion of pasta on the small side. Cauliflower soup was not thick but tasted ok. Atmosphere was cozy.

Driving home back to Selkirk from an appointment and decided to stop in at Grace Cafe. Comfortable atmosphere with some very nice original oil paintings, friendly waitresses, and the food was superb! Not too much and very fresh and tasty.

we went for a late lunch. My Cesar burrito was excellent. Their carrot cake was not available . The rest of the people in my group like their meals.

After the funeral of our uncle, the family decided on this poor choice of a restaurant for coffee and a snack. We were immediately greeted with a rude 20 something waitress who said we were supposed to make a reservation of groups of 8, really? We eventually were seated at a variety of tables as getting one big table was not possible, no problem. As some of the family was standing and talking near family at other tables, rude waitress (2) said " could you please take your seats now", seriously, is this a grade 2 class? Both of these young waitresses were snippy the rest of the time we were there. The male waiter was not rude but could not get an order right or bring a refill of coffee in the 90 minutes we were there. Reading the other reviews, this sounds like a one off but I know this was a discussion at work during the week. Take this serving staff out of their comfort zone, tables of 2, and they have a meltdown it seems.

My husband and I went to The Grace Cafe on a Wednesday around 2:20. All the booths were taken. However what one would consider a partial booth at the back of the restaurant with part cushioned seat and chairs for 3 on the other side was empty. It had a more cozy private feel as opposed to the center of the room with smaller tables for between 2 and 4 people I noticed. I asked the waitress if we could sit there (booth/table at back)as all the tables in the center of the room were vacant. She asked the woman Manager who refused to let us sit there. She seemed to be in a bad mood and involved in doing her book work on a table near us. The waitress was very good and her service excellent. We had our meals and beverages and within that one hour time period not one person came into the restaurant. I won't be going back. If you don't mind sitting in the middle of a small room then you might like this place.
