day after black friday , the regent area was sooo busy, Michaels had finally drained the remaining life out of me and i wanted something to eat. Went in and it was very busy, not just busy it was rammed, we got a seat as a couple was leaving. Pleasant server, a normal person not a 17yr old hot pants wearing airhead, but a normal person. gave us menus took our drinks order and brought out the drinks, no delays at all. We decided to stay and eat and order a swiss burger. The burger was ok, most places being this busy would have seen a reduction in service, but this was nice, it wasnt anything special, but there certainly wasnt anything at all to complain about. it was hot, fresh and tasty We shared a huge piece of chocolate brownie with ice cream which again was perfectly acceptable. the fact that i had nothing at all to complain about on a day where i was tired and hungry and the shopping had sucked the life out me is testament to the establishment.

This isn't the first time I've had this complaint. The last one went direct to them from their website and they didn't have then where withal to reply. Can't these people get an order straight? Above all I specifically ask for well done crispy hash browns with my breakfast and all you ever get is dry, cold and under done! The outlet on Henderson Hwy. on the other hand does it right.

We were looking for a quick breakfast late on a Sunday morning and were worried all the places would be full. Not so here. Quick and efficient service. Good basic food (we had eggs and toast). Fun to look at the old pictures on the walls of the history of this Winnipeg institution (started in early 1930's)

Sals has the best soups in the city bar none.

The service at the regent location is consistently bad. If you want to see employees dead inside you got to sals.

Sals in general has been slipping lately. I don't go much anymore because it seems poorly managed the past few years.

Honestly spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
