Classic burger place that serves mediocre burgers. Nothing special here folks. The nostalgia that locals feel for this place most definitely outweighs the actual taste of the burgers. I ordered a hamburger which comes to you dressed with onion, mustard, and chili. My bun was a little on the dry side. The burger was entirely edible and I certainly ate the whole thing. It just was not at all memorable. If you read the reviews (on this site and others) what people talk about most are the fries or the chili fries. I found the fries to be better than the burger, but not amazing either. I also had a strawberry milkshake which was good but again not something I would make sure to have again. It contained soft serve ice cream which is flavoured by one of the jugs of flavour they have stored underneath the counter. They don't pretend to be anything more than what they are - thank goodness for that. To sum it up, the hype and tradition are simply much larger than the taste.

A real old fashioned place, just like stepping into history. Went with a local group, had a great ice cream delight, everyone was pleased! Top marks to this type of establishment. Great for all ages, good prices, and don't watch your Valerie's when you go here! Loved it!

Trip Advisor needs to find a way to adjust for quality. Dairi Wip is great so far as burger joints go. Sticking to the essentials - burgers, fries and milkshakes - they do it well. It even has great character (and characters). However, given how highly it gets rated, don't mistake this for fine dining. At Dairi Wip, you're overdressed if you're shirt has a collar.

Service: 2 men standing in the back yelling to ask me what I want as I walk in. They took their time, but I was also the only person there.

Food: Chili fries were smothered in chili. The chili was more liquidy and less chunky, but still good. The fries were really good. Thin and light, while still being crispy. The chili must be the secret ingredient because it was in the regular burger too. The cheese dog had a bit of cheese, with a huge pickle. The dog was thin but still tasty.

Decor: It is a drive-in and take out. There are no tables or counters. Just go, grab it and eat it.

Parking: Huge parking lot, next to a garage that closes early.

Stars: It is a no nonsense eatery. Go in, grab your stuff, enjoy it and carry on. I could careless if it was decorated well. The food was good. It is not a "high-end" burger but it is home style and just a great way to get full. It reminded me of a homestyle in-n-out without all the decoration and stuff. Small food that is easy to eat and you always need more than just a burger.

- Great burger, in a bowl on on a bun. Fries, cheeseburger, all very tasty.

- Very classic atmosphere, which is something you can't put a price on. Ordering at the Wip is an experience that you just don't get at fast food chains.
