Owner description: One of Fredericton’s most beautiful and historic areas, Officers’ Square was named one of the Top 10 Public Spaces in Canada! It was a centre of military activity when Fredericton was garrisoned by the British and Canadian Armies. During July and August, it is the site for outdoor summer concerts, the Changing of the Guard ceremony, daily outdoor theatre, and a variety of festivals and events throughout the year.

Took the family to Officer's Square where we were impressed with the people working there; they all had in-depth knowledge of the history and events in Fredericton surrounding the square. They let us try on the uniforms, lay in the beds and see the garrison and solitary confinement areas. Very 'tactile' for younger kids.

Very interesting look back into the military history of Fredericton!the museum is a collaboration from the Loyalists time to present day. I found the clothing and instruments used back then quite interesting. There was also a area in the museum that housed toys from the 1800's to present day.
Actors portraying people of each era were on hand in the buildings of Officers Square.
Every hour there is a parade of soldiers dressed in the uniforms of the past called the changing of the guard.there is. Small fee to go into the museum.
The old stables have been converted to an artists venue selling their wares.

This is a well preserved and lovingly displayed site in downtown Fredericton. We enjoyed seeing young men dressed in period uniforms. We were able to take excellent photos. The history is very interesting and is well relayed to the visitor.

My friend was quite excited to see the different shops here. There are a handful of small art boutiques built into the building, but only about five or so, and it seemed like there could have been many more. Maybe we were there on a slow day. The shops had nice stuff, mostly geared toward women, so I can't really judge too much. The building was not as interesting as the legislative building, though.
