Description: Every night in the Terrace we celebrate "New Brunswick on a Plate" our menu has something for the whole family to enjoy. Familiar family favorites and comfort food all prepared with ingredients purchased direct from local farms. We honor the great food traditions of the Province and tell the stories of the people who produce it. Our food heroes wall sit proudly by the entrance to the restaurant. Simple honest and above all tasty food is always on the menu here. Open for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. Home of the Big Macleod !

We had dinner to celebrate a Birthday this Sunday at The Terrace; Glad we made a reservation...surprised how busy it was on a Sunday night. Unfortunately too chilly to sit out on the deck, but hope to take in the river view next time. Always enjoy our nights here; Consistently great food and friendly service.

PS You HAVE to try the Potato-wrapped Shrimp !!

Hubby bragged of the "best, thickest seafood chowder he's ever tasted", while I helped myself to seconds at the scallop and large shrimp table. Roast beef was so tender and juicy - served with a mouth-watering au jus. There was a pasta bar which allowed one to create their own dish but we never ventured there (there's only so much room you know)! Salads were fresh and crisp. Rolls were crusty outside, fresh inside - not the standard soft dinner roll. A nice variety of cheese which accompanied our wines - house-red, and Shiraz - we found both to be quite satisfactory to our palates. Neither of us are oyster or mussel lovers, but there were plenty. The fresh catch-of-the-day was haddock, served in a lightly breaded batter, which was thick, flaky and tasty. The chef-made gnocci was to linger-for, over & over again... mmm! All hot food was warm to hot. The dessert table offered fresh cut fruits, cheesecakes and pies (which I believe were from frozen or pre-made). Service was quite attentive but not overly. We felt like we could 'celebrate' in this environment - that it felt special enough for our occasion. Washrooms were a bit of a walk. Some tables were very dimly lit - making it difficult to read the menu. Parking can be a problem downtown on a weekend.
