“Overnight getaway”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014

My fiance and I went to the Moncton Casino Hotel for an overnight getaway and decided to upgrade to a suite. The suite was a decent size but the furniture is very warn and damaged. The kitchenette is a nice feature and the separate living and bedroom areas are convienient, but overall the room is nothing speical and in my opinion, not worth the price they charge. If we were to stay again, we wouldn't waste our money on the suite. I felt as though I was at a much older hotel than it actually is. Rather disappointing.

Stayed at Moncton casino hotel last evening - March 4 2014. Woke up to bed bugs, hives and itchy everywhere. Informed the manager and she asked me to pay a 4.50$ service charge on top of my room rate for "house keeping". Terrible service. They blames it on the pool
Which doesn't make it better. Although the bugs were visible in the night and they were aware of that. Beware of this horrible hotel.

Dear KGOSS04,
Bed bugs are an unfortunate reality in the hospitality industry. Casino New Brunswick performs diligent, daily inspections of each guestroom as this is proven to be the most effective way prevent bed bug infestations. We have a professional pest control company perform monthly inspections of the entire complex as a secondary preventative measure and Casino New Brunswick has not had any report, or any evidence, of insects or rodents present within the facility. Clearly, if bed bugs had been discovered, we would have acted accordingly. We regret that you were less than satisfied with your stay, I understand you were here on a free night offer and that the service charge of $4.52 was refunded to you.

We stayed at the hotel Saturday February 22nd, 2104. We were there to see Chicago perform their concert. When we arrived at 1pm to check in they told us that check in was from 3pm on only. I thought this rather ridiculous so we went shopping and came back a little over 3pm to find a line all the way to the door for check in. Our check out was 11 am and for $ 200.00 a night it was NOT WORTH IT. The room are big and clean but nothing special. We went to the pub for supper and it was good but very noisy as you are right in the action of the Casino. I didn't appreciate that. The concert was awesome!!!! The seating was comfortable as well. Felt like we were taken advantage of and will NOT stay there again.

Booked a reg room at corp rate. $90 very good deal. Room large and modern w basic furnishings but comfy. The pool is nice but hot tub busted - should be a law about hotels and broken spas... Indoor walk to casino which is nice and smoke free. The food deals are good and quality ok - nothing remarkable. Will stay here again. Too bad for neighbouring hotels and restaurants they must be getting wiped out by a government operation! Maybe the summer rates cause you to use the competition??

I have stayed at this hotel a few times on business. There are frequently special offers such as the one I obtained this time where I got a very large king / suite for $100. The rooms at this hotel are very good, but to be honest the hotel is a bit sole less. The hotel is focused around the casino, so there is plenty of activity there, and this is where the bar and restaurant are located. The restaurant is average, in fact for a Hotel that claims to be 4.5 stars, the restaurant is poor.

The location is away from the downtown area, but right next to the highway. Moncton is very easy to get around and it doesn't take very long to get anywhere, as long as you have a car. If you don't .........

Not a bad hotel, great large rooms and deals are frequent and good value.

The room was world class - loved the King Size bed and the huge shower - very nice. Rather than go to a restaurant in Mocnton, we decided to get the full casino experience and try the Pub. Bad idea! It was horrible - nothing positive to say about it except the waiter, he was nice enough, but even he was rushed and not very attentive. The music was too loud, the tables were all dirty. We sat down and he came to give us menus, noticed that it needed a swipe and he did wipe the table down withotu us entioning it. The bartender and waitress were unkempt - both his and her hair were a mess and she looked like a wreck, not like I would expect in a any establishement, but especially one like the Casino which comes across as upscale. She was scowling tryin to enter her order adn her straw-like hair was rammed into a messy dry pony tail, no care at all in her appearance. And the worst - they were out of onion rings. We got the plain wings and a glass of boxed-tasting wine in a smudged glass. Neither one of us are that picky but we could not believe how uninviting the pub was. I would never go back.

Room Tip: Get the King size room - a great price - only 99 bucks.

We arrived a little early before the check in time and the staff already had the room ready to go. It was so nice, we had a king bed room. Clean, BIG, modern room. The buffet, and casino were good. My only con, would be the length of walk to the Casino from room, in high heels. Can be a little much, and don't overdress, people are pretty casual there.
