The rooms were lovely. They offer four pillows per bed, two firm pillows and two soft pillows which are labeled on the pillowcases. I love this idea because I often find that the pillows in the hotels are too soft for a side-sleeper.

The room had an air conditioner. Our air conditioner was a little newer than some as it had a digital display and was much easier to use than those that our family members had in their rooms. The rest of the hotel, however, is not air conditioned which makes the climb up the stairs brutal in the summer heat. There are only stairs for the regular rooms, no elevator, there are only two floors in this section of the hotel. The suite section of the hotel has three floors and an elevator. The suite section of the hotel and the regular room section of the hotel are only connected on the main floor.

The pool was quite nice. Only about three feet deep at the shallow end. If you are traveling with small children who cannot swim be cautious as there is a fairly quick and slippery drop off from the shallow end to the deep end. The pool deck is also quite slippery; my toddler slipped on the wet pool deck several times when she was just walking, and I also slipped on the pool deck a couple of times as we were leaving while wearing my flip flops. Also, if you are planning to use the pool you should bring a towel or a cover up of some kind because they ask that the pool towels stay at the pool and the room towels stay in the room.

There was a small play structure for the children on the grounds with swings and a slide. It was roped off on the last day of our visit. The structure seemed stable, but there were a few safety concerns we had as our children played, but we watched them closely to ensure no one was hurt.

Hi There,

Thank you for taking this time to give us your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We have passed on your comments and concerns to the respective department with regards to the pool area and we are very sorry to hear that you and your daughter were slipping, it can get very wet when there are children in and out and many children this time of year seem to occupy the pool. We also wanted to let you know that the play structure outside was taped off due to recent painting that was done to it, we can understand why you would think it was unsafe and be cautious, we have applied Wet Paint signs on the tape itself.. We will make sure that all of your comments are passed on

You are right in saying it was very warm during your stay with us we were hit with a long exhausting 'humidity issue which made it very uncomfortable for a lot of us. We hope that you will return and for the next time you come stay with us ask the front desk to give you a court yard room they face the courtyard and you can sit outside and relax and enjoy the view

We hope to see you again soon

The staff was excellent and the location is fantastic. We stayed with a youth hockey team. The boys enjoyed playing football in the large courtyard. It is very close to Magnetic Hill and a casino. The rooms were clean but could use upgrades.

I have stayed at this property many times over the years and have always had a great experience. Both the regualr rooms and the suites are very nice, and well apppointed. The hotel is a strange mix of multiple buildings, but it seems to work, and you can access everything through internal hallways and external doors as well.
The included breakfast is more than enough to get started for the day with both hot and cold items. A great addition at no cost!
The location is easy to access, just off the TransCanada highway, and there are lots of restaurants and shopping a short drive away.
The staff has always been friendly and helpful every visit I have made, and gone out of their way to be hepful with any questions I have ever had.
I find the rates very reasonable, especially for the suites which are huge and have lots of room for families.
The suites seem newer and better appointed than the regular rooms some of which look as though they could use an upgrade.
I will certainly stay here again when I return to the area for business or leisure.

Room Tip: I prefer the suites which are alone in their own building. Huge rooms and well appointed.

Hi There,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this great review you are correct regarding our suite section it is in one section only and is in fact newer than the standard rooms, the suites were added years after the hotel was built. Our suites are much better for larger families or anyone who prefers to have a separate living area and bedroom. Just recently all of our rooms were provided with brand new beds which is just the beginning of all the changes and improvements for our hotel. Breakfast is always a hit which is complimentary to our guests.
We hope to see you back soon and perhaps if on a leisure trip check out our great packages on all of the attractions that surround us.

Thanks again

Stayed here for one night using IHG points, it was a good deal because it was a Point Breaks stay. As a platinum member I was offered some extra points or a welcome gift, thank you for acknowledging my loyalty and upgrading me to a suite. The layout of the suite was nice and everything was clean. The ladies at the front desk were very nice! The breakfast was free and filling; eggs, gluten-free cereal (Chex), yogurt, juice, I was happy that they had gluten free options. They only had 2 kinds of sausages and no bacon, I would've liked bacon instead (minor detail). Overall a great stay and I would return, however a renovation is needed, with newer hotels all around Moncton in this category (Hampton Inn & Fairfield Inn), I believe it's time for a renovation here.

Dear Bose2,

Thank you for the candid review of our hotel. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the breakfast and we will pass along these comments to our food and beverage department. I know that they rotate the choice of protein, one day it is ham, sausage or bacon.

We value you as an IHG Platinum member and glad to hear that our front desk staff provided you with the points and certainly recognized your IHG Status, it pays to be a member as you mentioned you stayed using your points. We have also taken note regarding the renovations needed to our property and I can assure you that renovations are a part of our future plan and also wanted to let you know that we just finished providing all new beds and pillows in all of our guest rooms. We are also working on great updates in the lobby which should be starting any time. We are looking forward to having you back soon.

This is an older style hotel that is very well maintained and well managed.

I stayed here during the unfortunate events during the Moncton shootings, and I have to say that the staff and management handled the situation with great professionalism ensuring the guests safety was maintained at all times.

The standard rooms here are clean, comfortable and very large. The buffet breakfast is good and unlike other hotels offering a similar facility, there was plenty of room to accommodate all guests.

The happy hour drinks and snacks very an excellent idea and very welcome.

Would definitely stay here again

We stayed at this hotel overnight on our way to Montreal from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I was surprised on how nice and spacious the room was and how comfortable the two queen beds beds and pillows were. Service was very good as was the the morning breakfast buffet. No problems getting WIFI/internet connection. All in all, a nice place to stay and sleep before embarking on the long trip home!
