“Large rooms!”
Reviewed 20 August 2014

This hotel very worth the money. The room was large with a very comfortable bed. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included and it had a nice variety of hot and cold options. We stayed here one night after visiting the Hopewell rocks. Be sure to ask for a room at the back of the hotel so you can see the Chocolate River. The seafood restaurant next door was excellent also.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel.

The hotel itself is in a great location and is quite clean and nice rooms. The gym is absolutely pathetic. The treadmill is dangerous. Felt like I was going to slip off of it. There are 4 pieces of equipment - not exactly what I'd call a gym.

The breakfast was just OK. No fresh fruit other than some oranges and apples. I prefer cantaloupe, etc. Not a whole lot of choices but OK nonetheless.

The hotel room was clean and comfortable and the hotel is very close to the downtown core.

Overall good value but if you are looking to get a good workout in, go for a jog along the boardwalk instead.

Why we never opted to stay here before is beyond me. What a perfect location & view. Close to everything. The free breakfast was a bonus & you could get anything you wanted from hot to cold dishes.

The rooms were clean & well appointed. There's an excellent restaurant just across from the parking lot - Pisces.

Chateau Moncton is a nice place to stay!

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the water. We were in a higher room & found the view to be great...

This hotel is outstanding. This was my second stay. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The rooms are large and spacious (with the exception of a few end rooms), beautifully decorated and *quiet*. The beds are extemely comfortable (so comfortable, in fact, that I overslept and missed out on the breakfast). The rooms are also very quiet - I barely heard a sound from other guests. The shower is great, and every channel on the tv comes in clearly and in HD (why can't other hotels figure out how to do this?!?). The hotel is located just outside downtown Moncton, but is an easy walk to downtown Moncton and the restaurants there, as well as a large grocery store across the street, and a shopping mall, Chapters and movie theatre that can be walked to in about 10 minutes. If I'm staying in Moncton, I'm staying at this hotel.

Room Tip: I recommend a river-facing room, as it's dark and without traffic noise on that side of the hote...

Stayed for four nights and the room was large and very clean - no issues with maid service. Hotel is right next to the river (our room had a view of the river) and easy walk to downtown Moncton (boardwalk) and several restaurants within walking distance (Kegs nice place to eat but pricey). River is interesting for its tidal boars. If your room is on the street side, your view is a gas station and shopping area. Front desk very helpful with directions around town. Hopewell Rock is 35 minute drive and Fundy Park about 1 hour (we visited both) also went to the "beach" which was 30 minute drive. Breakfast was typical of most hotels - eggs, pancakes, sausages, fruit, cereal, coffee and juices.

I've stayed here many times and enjoyed every one. Rooms are clean and modern. The best part about Chateau Moncton is the patio. It's a huge deck overlooking the Petacodiac River. The river is actually kinda boring since there is no life in it, however when the tidal bore comes in or out, it's a good excuse to sit on the deck and drink.

We stayed here one night as we wanted to go to Hopewell Rocks. The room was nice and big and really clean. We were able to walk downtown but you are not right downtown. Nice view over the river. Good breakfast.

Room Tip: It was a couple bucks extra to have a room overlooking the river but worth it.
