“Great location, good for kids, but small rooms”
Reviewed 12 August 2013

Having stayed at several Delta locations before, we already had expectations of about 4-star quality (and we're pretty picky, I'll admit). So we were disappointed to see that this particular Delta is looking more 3-star than 4-star, with small, cramped rooms and a very tiny bathroom.

The hotel and rooms, past the lobby, are overall looking worn out and tired. The carpet needs to be changed, the furniture was worn and chipped, and it looked like this hotel had seen better days. The furniture was also overly big for the size of the room, which made space very cramped and almost cluttered.

That said, when we go over our initial, "Wow, this place needs a facelift," we noticed it was very clean, which is always a plus. We stayed 7 days and noticed that the beds were very comfy - no back pain, yay! and that the bathroom size was something you got used to.

We did have someone try to enter the room with a key without knocking or announcing themselves first, which was really strange (lock your doors!), and housekeeping didn't replace our toilet paper rolls when they started to get low, so we actually ended up having to ration what was left for an evening. Bedsheets weren't changed during our stay, but the beds were made daily, so that was alright.

One plus - we had a room with two QUEEN beds, versus the usual two double beds. That was MUCH appreciated!

Another plus? The pool has a fantastic waterslide, which was perfect for our 8-year-old's enjoyment. The water was salt, not chlorine, so another plus, and there's a game room with some Xboxes and a Foosball game, which was a lot of fun. So very appreciated on those lazy days when we couldn't get outside!

The location is fantastic, and you just need to step outside the front door to enjoy many restaurants, from kid-friendly locations to upscale gastro-pubs. It was very easy to access the highways and get out of the city as well, so that was great.

The breakfast buffet was great, with high quality food, a nice choice and made-to-order omelets, and cheaper than local restaurants - do take advantage of it!

Staff was friendly, helpful and always had a pleasant attitude, so that was really nice.

Would we go back? We would - now that we know not to expect TOO much from the place, and if we could find a good deal instead of paying regular rates. The location makes up for the worn-out state of affairs.

Room Tip: If you have kids and want to take advantage of the pool, ask for a room on the 3rd floor. The room v...

We are very happy to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us and appreciated our excellent restaurants - TRIIIO for families, with its unique buffet breakfast, great food, and personalized omelets cooked by the chef to your taste, also The Windjammer with its CAA Four Diamond rating - and the great service provided by our friendly, helpful staff. Families love our renowned waterslide, currently the longest indoor hotel waterslide in the province, with an adjoining games room enjoyed by kids of all ages! Our excellent city-center location means easy access to highways and to downtown attractions, restaurants and Moncton's Capitol Theatre.

We appreciate your comments regarding your guestroom and we are pleased that you enjoyed the size and comfort of the beds and the cleanliness of the facilities. We have put your room out of service to allow for a refurbishment of the furniture and any other necessary improvements. We are very glad to learn that you enjoyed our sister properties with their "mode" rooms. Although we did renovate our hotel five years ago, we are looking forward to another renovation in the near future so that the mode room product will be available at our hotel as well. Although we recognize that our bathrooms may be comparatively small, during our renovations a few years ago, we configured the bathrooms to make the best use of the space.

We are delighted that you will be returning to enjoy another visit and our great views of Riverfront Park on the Petitcodiac River, with its famous tidal bore. We look forward to welcoming you back.

At first the appearance of the hotel was a turn off, squished in between other buildings with a side main entrance it did not present a warm and cozy as you approached. However, once inside the staff made the initial feelings melt away with their warmth and accommodating personalities. The rooms were average (at least the one that I stayed in) but clean and comfortable.
The restaurant and bar are off the main lobby and modern in design. Breakfast was good and again the staff were excellent.
Prices are average and usually a good investment.
The location is a plus, right in the midst of town and backing into a park in the back of the property.
Worth a stay if you're in the area

Room Tip: Higher floors are better because of street noise and views that are blocked at the lower levels

Located right in the thick of it in downtown Moncton on Main Street, the Delta Beausejour suited our needs perfectly - a one night stopover with a night out in Moncton. The room was very standard (no bathrobe though) with a good view of the river and Tidal Bore. I worked for a bit of the day and the wifi was fast. Nice bed and all that. Room service took forever, in fact I had to call them like 4 times to get lunch the first day there. Good bar downstairs though with a friendly bartender/real estate agent Andre who got us nicely primed for a night on the time and had some good NB/Moncton updates to share.

The Delta Beausejour is located in a great location! Multiple bars and restaurants are walking distance. You have the riverfront park trail which is situated just behind the hotel. Jeremie at the front desk assisted with our check-in which was quick and efficient. He was very friendly and courteous. We received an upgrade to a Jacuzzi suite for our wedding anniversary. We had one large living room that included a couch, multiple chairs, large screen TV, the bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub and shower. Connected to this room was our bedroom which had a King size bed and bathroom. The rooms were very clean and looked great with the modern décor. The bed was super comfortable. I wish I could have taken it home with me. We were located on the Signature Club level and had accessed to the Club lounge. Lana welcomed us to the lounge during the evening. She had a great personality, was fun and genuine. We chatted for a bit while we ate the delicious appetizers that were offered. Our neighbors ordered some chocolate covered strawberries which were sent to our room in the evening which tasted like heaven :-) We had fun using the pool, hot tub and also going down the indoor water slide! Our stay was memorable and fun due to the staff being so friendly and courteous. This is a very nice and clean hotel situated in an excellent location!

We visited Moncton for one week. We had a room in the Signature Club floor with access to the lounge. The hotel is a nice facility - they are trying to keep it up but I think it is getting close to needing a facelift somewhat. The room we had was spacious and comfortable with king bed. The bathroom was fine although they gave us a handicapped accessible room with a roll in shower and no tub, but that didn't matter too much to us. Service was very friendly and helpful, from the housekeeping staff, waitress in the restaurants and lounge and the front desk. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Moncton and very easy to make your way around the area. The swimming pool is indoor and quite large with both adult lap pool and a waterslide pool for the kids. A good workout area too. They serve Starbucks coffee which we really liked too! If you are a jogger or walker, this is a great place with the proximity to Riverfront Park and some beautiful paths. We would defnitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the river on a higher floor.

Had a great time here was sorry to go. I was here for a business trip for 3 days and loved every second of it! The staff were awesome, they even did a welfare check to make sure I was alright after a tough outing earlier in the day brought me back winded. (I had a touch of pneumonia) Food was simple and excellent, with a great variety for all tastes. Room was huge and very comfortable. Everything was clean and tidy and in great working order. Central location in easy walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. Lovely pool although we just went to look as I wasn't up to swimming this time. I will definitely stay here next time we journey to Moncton. The only thing missing was the family, but they will join me another trip! (Trip dates Sept 23-27, 2012)

Room Tip: The suites are amazing. Definitely worth the price.

Location is great, lobby is nice. When i entered the room i was sadly disapointed! It was sooo small. Had to throw my suitcase up the desk because their was no other option. The furniture was scratched and peeling and had been repaired with what looked like black magic marker. The bathroom had enough room for one person, not really helpful even for my family of 3.
The bed looked partially made. I could have done a better job myself in about 2 min. And the brown throw blanket had two whiteish stains on it. Blah!!
I booked through expedia, never done that before. Won't book here again.
