Takes a good two hours plus to walk the trail. More if you take a camera and stop to take pictures.
Love the bit by Glynmill Pond, Swans and gulls can be very entertaining.

I lived in Corner Brook for three years, not far from Margaret Bowater Park and the trail. There are branches to the trail, one of which till take you through the short downtown core of Corner Brook, and back onto the trail again. My very favourite place is a bridge not far from the pond, where the water roars around a corner and over rocks. It is beautiful any time of year. While all the trails are not open in the winter, some parts are. Fall is especially beautiful. It's well worth the walk, a beautiful oasis in the center of town. There are also lots of activities: swimming in the river in the summer, various musical bands and activities, playground for children.

A beautiful walk around the pond. There are a couple of trails you can take, one is longer than the other. It is not a hard hike, and there are a few benches along the way where you can sit down and relax. Takes you to some great place for photos, of the Glynmill Inn, and Sir Richards Squires Building. Anyone from this area has done this trail numerous times and it is always a favorite.

Corner Brook was wise to preserve the beauty of this area and create a trail so that it can be enjoyed. Although the city and roads are nearby you feel that you are far from town. Although the trail itself if a fairly level and an easy walk, depending on where you join the trail it can be many steps to get to it--if there was an easy or handicapped access site we did not see it. While in the city of Corner Brook it is clearly worth some time to enjoy.
