I was excited by the concept of the Fluvarium, being able to see into a living river environment. But the reality was underwhelming. Visibility was poor, and perhaps that was just the day we visited, but there really was not much to see. The aquarium area was okay but the displays were fairly ordinary, and many of the creatures were in separate tanks, alone, which was a little sad. The display areas with content about the ecology of the area, as well as the larger global context, were well done. Staff was available and very approachable if you had questions. The Fluvarium is worth a visit, but isn't something that would make the top of your list.

This place is a find! Far better than an aquarium. There is a pond with cameras in it so yo can see the brown trout live their daily lives. The sun shines into this little pond and the winds blow the reeds around; it's like being inside a secret place. So well done!

Around 4:00 the staff feed the 10-year old salmon, a brook trout, an eel, and some frogs. Very entertaining.

A great place for young and old to learn about the topography of Newfoundland. Rock hounds will love it. A great place for families as kids will love the displays and presentations too.
