We had a great stay at bayside - the b&b had a nice view of the great slave lake and of the auroras as they danced above the lake. Thank you for serving such amazing breakfast and thank you John for hosting us! :)

John is an amazing host! He is super nice and hospitalable and helped us with our stay even though they did not have enough rooms for us, he extremely kindly helped us with a solution. I had a great time at this b&b, they had the perfect spot for aurora viewing and their breakfast is simply delightful! Thank you John for the amazing stay!!!!

My co-guide and I stayed here for two nights following our canoe trip . It had been highly recommended and Debbie and John and their staff deserve all of the praise and excellent reputation that comes their way. The Dancing Moose Cafe is always busy and for good reason. We will certainly come back again and again. The service and food was second to none. Just a wonderful B&B from which to savor all that Yellowknife has to offer. Clean, quiet rooms, when the float planes are still, the lounge and deck are perfect places to unwind and enjoy with the company of fellow guests.

Room Tip: Book early.Very limited en-suite availability.

In YK for business and stayed for 4 nights. The owners took my reservation online and were quick with a response describing what was available and price range. When I arrived, was greeted with a smile and lots of warm welcomes.
The gentleman (Gord )who was working for the owners cooked me a great breakfast every morning, had time to talk with me, and gave me lots of useful information about the city of Yellowknife. After staying here, I would say that other B&B's should model themselves after this warm place.

We are heading back home after 6 nights of staying at Bayside. Debbie and John are wonderful! Breakfast is delicious (thanks Debbie!) and their common room is comfortable for relaxing and looking out onto the lake. We saw the northern lights near their backyard, and walked from their house to a lot of attractions. A great place to stay for an unforgettable trip.

If we were to travel all the way to Yellowknife and stay in a hotel in the city we would have been very disappointed. Staying in Old Town, with the view of the lake was the highlight of our experience. We enjoyed many conversations with such interesting people at the Dancing Moose Cafe along with some great local entertainment. John and Debbie were very helpful and friendly. The room and bed were quite comfortable and the food was OUTSTANDING... Debbie is quite an accomplished chef!
