2nd. time there and worth a couple of extra dollars. Small inside but the outside deck offers a great option if its nice. Had the buffalo burger this time ,it was done perfectly and came w/the best fries I have had in some time. The wife wanted something light and went with bannac and jam and loved it.Staff was very nice and made us feel at home right away.

Summer! The Wildcat has a deck, and sun loving folks are all over it. ... you will have to share tables with the locals! The food is the Cat fabulous, conversations are tall northern tales, and the weather is hot, sunny, and .. in 2014, well smokey. Love it anyway!

Not quite gourmet, but good food, served in a congenial and friendly setting. Try the portabella burger!

Brunch is all you can eat ($25 each) You choose which of 3-4 egg dishes you want and then they bring you out an additional big frying pan of ham, hashbrowns, pancakes and french toast (gluten free available). There is also platters of fresh fruit and cheese. You won't leave hungry! Great log cabin atmosphere if you eat inside, sun warmed patio with view of the lake outside. Just don't arrive too close to the end of brunch. We arrived 15 minutes before brunch was supposed to end and the staff just ignored us until it was 2 and then told us it was too late for brunch.

Yellowknife is certainly not a food destination. Most of the places we went to had soggy fries, burnt meat, and wilted veggies. However, Wildcat had some great tasting meals, although they were pricey.
