We stayed in the Evangeline room. Well, Evangeline must have been the black sheep of the family because the room was an attic that was retrofitted and cut up to make a room. We just didn't feel very comfortable at all for the 3 day stay for a conference at the University.
The common areas are grand and lovely in an early 1920's sort of way. The staff was courteous and seemed professional. There is a big problem with their free breakfast - I guess you get what you pay for. However, the food quality is so bad that it really takes away from the experience.
