“Worst beds”
Reviewed 20 August 2013 via mobile

We have been on the road for 16 weeks and these are the worst beds EVER! Seriously, we had to take meds for days from these hard, board hard, beds. We had to move heavy furniture to get to electrical outlets to charge the phones. Oh yeah, the coffee wasn't good either. Skip this one.

As owners we are absolutely devastated that you had such a horrible experience. I spoke with our staff and we are trying to figure why this happened – we have just upgraded new mattress in some rooms and sorry we could not found more comfortable beds for you. I would hope that anyone staying would let our front desk staff know that the mattresses are not to their satisfaction (we know our guests have different preference) to permit us to change the room if possible. Not sure why you moved the furniture to charge your phone, certainly you should not have to - each room has numerous outlets – some are activated by the wall switch at the entrance and perhaps that may have caused you an issue – and also all our en suite bathrooms have outlets. We have spent 15 years trying the go the extra mile for all our guests and our deepest apology for your need to take med’s on account of our beds

We stayed here August 17th with our friends and 3 kids. This hotel is beautiful and clean. The views are breathtaking! Not to mention the new salt water pool which was 90 degrees......perfect after a day at upper clements which is 5 mins up the road. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Continental breakfast offered in the am was perfect.....hot coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, bagels, English muffins and cereal. Rooms could use a microwave and fridge and some kind of play area in the back for kids but other than, I will be back and highly recommend

Room Tip: We stayed in room 13

We stayed at the beautiful country motel in Aug/13. This place was just outside of Annapolis Royal. We arrived late and had no problem with a late check in. The staff was ever so helpful and accommodating. We ended up staying two nights. The motel didn't have a suite but did offer a room that had unlimited access to the hot tub past 10pm. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel may look old on the outside but very updated inside. Room was clean, bathroom was great. Only down side shower head could have been better. Overall very nice place to stay. We will be staying again.

Stayed here for two nights .. July 8th and 9th. Outside of Inn is very nice, however rooms need some serious updating which I think they were working on. We had to turn our mattresses over to flatten them out. Inn is not within walking distance of anything ... It is actually quite a ways down Highway 1. At first we thought we had the wrong directions. Continental breakfast was the usual though there was fresh fruit each day. There are not much of a choice of places to stay in Annapolis Royal so if a motel is what you are looking for ... then this going to be it.

Stayed here July 7 for one night. Clean room in nice inn. Outside pool is being constructed, but was not completed at time of visit. Indoor hot-tub and sauna, but sauna was not working. Basic self-serve continental breakfast. Very close to Upper Clements and downtown Annapolis Royal. Overall, good place to stay.

We spent two nights at the Inn with our two children. The first thing that hit me when getting out of the car was the view of the North Mountains and the Annapolis Basin. Truly breathtaking!! We did a little exploring and discovered a great deck of the breakfast room overlooking the manicured grounds and the Ducks Unlimited protected marsh, perfect for a quiet cup of coffee. We had spent the day on foot checking out the historical town and were relieved to find the a/c worked top notch when we checked in. Our host was gracious and very friendly, the room was a little dated but VERY clean!!! After spending the day at Upper Clements Park we were thrilled to cool off in the new salt water pool. and enjoy the Adirondack chairs under the gazebo. Breakfast was simple, with hot/cold cereals, english muffins, toast,at least three kinds of juice, yogurt and fresh fruit, and most importantly there was always enough!! The only draw back for us was that there was no mini fridge in the room, Either way will be booking the Inn again in the fall.

Still don't know why motels want to call themselves inns, but anyway -- very well kept grounds, large room with the normal furnishings, comfortable bed. Someone had unplugged the cable modem making the tv unusable -- between me and the front desk person we finally got it to work, sort of, but I wasn't there to watch tv anyway. A quirky aspect of their wi-fi is that it boots you off every 30 minutes, a little annoying if you're in the middle of writing an email or the like. Aside from these minor electronic issues, a very good motel for a day or two's stay.
