I have been working in Sydney for nearly 6 weeks now and have stayed at the Comfort Inn for about 18-20 nights during that time. I have found the accommodations and the amenities offered at this hotel to be very good. The rooms are a good size and the furnishings are clean and comfortable. It is located close to the downtown core where some excellent restaurants and pubs can be found. It is also within walking distance to Sydney's river walk.

I had cancelled my reservations, so I had thought through your website, but when it came to the day to arrive which i didn't cause my trip was cancelled, i thought i would call the hotel to make sure and nope it wasn't done. I didn't receive any conformation either. Your site just ended and that was it, not impressed at all and will never book like this again. I lost $134 plus for that. not happy.

We were greeted by a friendly and efficient staff member in a bright, clean lobby area. The hotel was easy to find after a trip around Cape Breton. Our holiday was perfect! Staff service was exceptional to the point that we were helped to book another reservation in order that we could have a pool for our families enjoyment.

We booked online thru hotel where i work for two two nights for july 20th and 21st,After checking in i noticed shades of summer brochure in room which stated book two nights and get 50% of 2nd night(june14 to sept8,2013). Upon checking out asked lady at front desk about the 50% off and was told had to be done when checking in, This is not possible because brochure is in the room and dont see it until after u have already checked in,also asked about aeroplan rewards and was told it would be applied to my account right away which as of now has not been. After leaving and reading fine print on brochure it states rate adjustments will be applied at time of checkout.On monday july22/13 i sent email to choice hotels about my concerns and they replied promptly and was told my email would be fowared to management of comfort inn ,sydney and if i did not hear from them within 72 hours to contact choice hotels again which i have done as of today .As for the hotel itself it was very clean(good job housekeppers) but very outdated and had no fridge or microwave

This was just your average chain hotel room. Nothing special about it. I did like the 2:00 pm check in time. We had a room on the ground floor that had a patio door. On the other side was a sidewalk and a parking lot so you couldn't have the curtain open if you wanted any privacy or some daylight in the room. The price was OK. Came with a continental breakfast.

I'm sure there are worse hotels in the area. However, there are much MUCH!!! better ones that turned out to be even cheaper (see my other review of the Hampton inn).
When we arrived late at night after the ferry ride from NFLD there was a problem with the reservation. Things happened so we were ok with that, but when we enter the corridor on the first floor to our "non smoking" room it felt like those flights 25 years ago when you were seating one row behind the smoking class in the plane. This hotel is STINKS!!!! no other word for it. The corridor the room(s) everything.....
It was like sleeping in an ashtray...
I can't comment on the breakfast as we just got up and left immediately. The smell, the carpets stains... the entire feeling just shouts "get out of here"
Don't go there when there so many other options in town.

The first thing I noticed about this hotel is the cigarette smoke wafting from under the smoking room's doors into the hallways and stairwells. Come on, get into the 21st century and ban smoking in ALL rooms. If you hate cigarette smoke as much as I do, find an alternative hotel. The location was good and convenient to the tourist routes. The room was clean and comfortable, but the breakfast was meagre with the only hot items being the coffee and anything you could stuff into a toaster.
