“Beautiful view, good room”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2014

We spent 2 days at this hotel.. Surroundings are quiet and scenic. The view from the hotel is excellent. From here, we visited Upper Clements Adventure Park (a really fun experience), Bear River, and Annapolis Royal sights.

Cleanliness and safety: clean and bright. Uses the old style, real key, instead of card key.
Beds: no padding on the mattress; mattress pad was like plastic and didn't breathe, so sleeping was a bit of a clammy experience.
Bath: sink, toilet, and shower in one large room -- lots of space, but not much counter area.
Room: blow dryer and fridge, but no microwave; Room was a bit larger than usual for 2 queens. We were on the first floor and heard the people above us walking around in the morning.
Breakfast: no breakfast. We went to the Tim Horton's in town and got a dozen donuts for $7.50.
Staff: At the front desk -- very engaging, polite, and efficient.
Wifi: free; has a password; no problems

We recently stayed for two nights at the Admiral Digby Inn. We booked one of the larger rooms with a private balcony overlooking the water, which was a great place to relax. The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable. There is an indoor pool, although we didn't use it. There is a restaurant on-site. We ate there our first night, and enjoyed a lobster dinner (lobster was huge and the price was fairly reasonable). Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. All rooms are drive-up, even the second floor rooms, as the properly is on a hill. Access to second floor rooms is at the back--very handy for unloading luggage from the car. I would highly recommend the Admiral Digby Inn.

We were in the Digby area for an event and used The Admiral Inn as our base. The Inn was a great place to be because it was near the town, quiet, has a great view and near the ferry to NB. While there hurricane Arthur came on land and changed our events and plans as did it for the Admiral Digby Inn and all of Nova Scotia. We all survived the storm as did everyone in the area. The Inn lost all services as did everyone else in the area, The owners stepped up and went out of their way to accommodate us. Even with all of their problems they took care of us first before they returned to their own challenges. We will definitely return. Thanks

We stayed at this motel for 2 nights during a 2-week visit to Nova Scotia occupying one of the rooms with a balcony facing the sea. Although we arrived in mist and rain, the following morning's view from the room /balcony was stunning. That same view is seen from the restaurant, which we used for breakfast and evening meals. The Digby scallops were good, however, their "fish & chips" (it was a Friday!) were to die for. The staff were genuinely welcoming and the service in the restaurant was first-class. We used the pool which is a great asset if the weather is poor. Reception staff arranged a whale-watching trip for us at Brier Island - a bit of a trip with 2 ferries, but well worth the time to do. Overall, the room was clean and spacious with good Wi-Fi, the food superb, the view lovely, but our lasting memory will be of the friendly service. I would definitely recommend the motel and it would be our place of choice to stay when in the area.

This motel was the nicest of all the accommodations we used during our 10 day trip in Nova Scotia.
The room was clean, with good AC & TV. The staff were genuinely nice people who cared about their guests. We made a mistake by not eating dinner in the dining room. Another guest really liked the Seafood Dinner Special. I would recommend the restaurant over what downtown Digby offered,
This is a family business, run by family members & it shows. A really good place to stay. The ferry is a 1 minute drive.

Room Tip: All rooms are fine. The front of the motel faces the bay with nice views.

This motel is the nicest property we have stayed at in Digby. My son and I were on a golfing trip to the Pines and I bought the peeler card and stayed here. Much better value that the resort itself. 2 for 1 golf for $73 and a motel room for $99 with CAA card. The motel is about 40 years old but very clean and comfortable. We were on the water side and had a beautiful view of sunrise. We had a great breakfast at the restaurant as well. It was very clean and comfortable. Much better value and nicer rooms than most of the other properties in the Digby area – the all seem dated and tired. Not the Admiral Digby.

Room Tip: Get the waterside

We stay at this hotel every summer for a couple of nights. The hotel has an in door pool which my two boys (2 and 5) really enjoy. The rooms are pretty basic, but they are clean and it is nice to be able to park right outside your room. Exactly what you would expect from this type of hotel. The view is amazing and the staff is all fantastic. The food in the restaurant is really great. It is the only hotel in Digby with an in door pool, so it is a natural choice for us. I would highly recommend this hotel.
