We stayed 2 nights, arriving off the Saint John ferry just down the road. We used the motel as a base to explore beautiful Digby Neck. Room had a beautiful view of the water. Restaurant served very good food, and the staff was friendly. Air conditioning worked well. WiFi required authentication and was slow; my phone kept dropping the WiFi connection because it judged it to be too slow, and went back to the cell phone signal. Our biggest complaint was the wooden construction that conducted noise. We could hear the people walking around upstairs, then the vacuum cleaner. We could hear people in the next room.

I just spent my Honeymoon at the Digby Pines next door to this but a few people from our wedding party stayed at The Admiral Digby Inn. I think a few people were expecting this place to be comparable to the Digby Pines but in reality they are in 2 different weight-classes. The Digby Pines is a huge stone palace that's luxurious and historical (and subsidized by the Can Govt. every year, along with all CP Rail hotels), and The Admiral Digby Inn is more of just a classic hotel. Its not really competition for the Digby Pines next door but it is a pleasant alternative.....not to mention less than half the price per night! I would even venture to say that it has a much better view than the Pines, and the food at The Admiral was the best I've had all trip. I stayed at the Pines for 5 nights and we came over to The Admiral to eat 4 out of those 5 nights...check out my pics of the Lobster-Stuffed Mushroom caps and you'll know what I mean. The whole hotel and restaurant is run by a very nice British family complete with their daughter on the wait-staff and their son running the kitchen. The cook must have a touch of Gordan Ramsey in his blood because we tried nearly everything on the menu and everything was incredible. The chowder, lobster mush-caps and Seafood Fettucini were my top choices and the fresh baked buns they serve every table are freakin unbelievable! Everyone seemed happy with their cabins (especially the price at only $120/night) and with knock-out kitchen only a few steps away it seems like a no-brainer in my opinion.

Room Tip: Any of the front row of cabins have an awesome view!

The friendly owners upgraded us to the 2nd floor (still drive up, just at the back) which had a beautiful view of the water and nearby ferry. The location is 2-3 km away from the Digby boardwalk, but only 1 km away from the ferry to Saint John. The rooms were clean and cheap laundry facilities were on-site. Note: breakfast is not included but a $5 voucher is provided for the restaurant.

Room Tip: The 2nd floor has better views and is quieter.

Location is at the far end of town but right beside the ferry which was handy for us when we had to be in the queue at 7am. Room was fairly clean, didn't find anything that grossed me out. We asked for a microwave to heat our baby's food and Carol had one ready for us in minutes (at no extra cost!). When we had questions about the ferry, Leah was very helpful with that. Will agree with others that being on the bottom floor you do get noises from the folks upstairs but that wasn't a complete deal breaker. We did go to the restaurant for a quick breakfast before the ferry - food was average but price point was a little outrageous. The rest of the menu had decent prices compared to others in town but the breakfast menu was definitely targeted at those in a rush for the ferry so they know you'll pay the extra for the convenience. Overall 4 stars!

We spent 2 days at this hotel.. Surroundings are quiet and scenic. The view from the hotel is excellent. From here, we visited Upper Clements Adventure Park (a really fun experience), Bear River, and Annapolis Royal sights.

Cleanliness and safety: clean and bright. Uses the old style, real key, instead of card key.
Beds: no padding on the mattress; mattress pad was like plastic and didn't breathe, so sleeping was a bit of a clammy experience.
Bath: sink, toilet, and shower in one large room -- lots of space, but not much counter area.
Room: blow dryer and fridge, but no microwave; Room was a bit larger than usual for 2 queens. We were on the first floor and heard the people above us walking around in the morning.
Breakfast: no breakfast. We went to the Tim Horton's in town and got a dozen donuts for $7.50.
Staff: At the front desk -- very engaging, polite, and efficient.
Wifi: free; has a password; no problems
