“Beautiful Model Ships”
Reviewed 9 August 2014

The Maritime Museum has a large and informative area for learning more about the Titanic, as well as a very powerful exhibit focusing on the Halifax harbor tragedy, but it also has an extremely impressive model ship wing. We spent a considerable amount of time admiring the fine details and beauty of so many model vessels! This is a wonderful way to spend your time on the harbor front where you can then go to see live entertainment, grab so good food, and stroll through shopping areas before embarking on a sea adventure of your own -- there are many tourist voyages which launch from this harbor to choose from.

“Another find”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

We enjoyed our visit to the Museum. The exhibit on the great explosion of 1917 was excellent. We all gained a great insight into the explosion with the well done video and exhibits. The museum was well laid out and gave us a good understanding of importance of the ice free harbor of Halifax and the surrounding areas.

“It was ok”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

There was a lot of talk about the Titanic exhibit, which was a bit disappointing, as it was very small. Although it was a hot day outside, the museum was very, very cold inside. The war of 1812 exhibition was very good and informative, as was the Halifax explosion exhibit.
